B tiger's/datnoids are slowish growing. 2 Years+ to full size i think. They are nothing like the oscars growth rate :roll: Breed feeders in the tank? Some rare bichirs? Hoplos? :lol:

It bonds with the nitrites and nitrates: its there but not there :roll: Doesn't using it upset the bio cycle of the tank thus causing more probs? Just do more/bigger water changes to rectify the problem/s?

What a "normal" young (100mm or so) worth these days? Are all aros sterilized when they come in or just the rare ones?

Wait until i leave home and i get a fish room/s lol Yes Id base the design on a spa pool with insulation around the tank and get a cover made that has foam insulation, have some clear bits to allow light. Or just make a wooden/steel lid and chucks some lights in there About all i could put in my pool/tank in WCMM and even then my parents would look at me funny :roll:

High profit low turnover VS Low profit high turn over I know what id want to be doing A lot of the breeders may be tied up with contacts to importers, would be stupid if they where not AFAIK all that come in are sterilized I wouldn't mind investing into a rare arowana breding setup

I agree with tHEcONCH, there is ALOT of expenses when running a business, it would blow your mind if you really knew how it all operated and if it didnt make money why would anyone bother???????? Dont forget the quarantine processes We are lucky to get the rare fish that we do get over here

There are dwarf puffers and full sizes ones Think green spotted are full size puffers Yes, it may not grow to its full size in freshwater. There is a difference between surviving and thriving May be worth looking into dwarf puffers

They need to be kept in backish/marine cond's. NOT freshwater Google has lots of info on them
