HI Josh, nice to see that you are keeping native skinks especially with so few permit holders recorded as doing so now You could keep your BT in a big tub like they do in the states but then you could also keep harleqins. As harelquins are C catagory could...if you find any...you let me know? As after seeing them in the wild, they would be nice to keep

Hmmm doest that depend on fish type you are keeping if you were looking at plecos or current fish both inlets at one end might be better Also I have my spray bar at teh base of my tank at the back to push detritus up and forward. makes for an easier clean If you can only go one canister filter go fx5

  12. Thats a good un can also add olive oil and sprigs of fresh herbs to gut cavity and use less butter gawd I miss working on a boat...lol

Scallops saute and rest saute onions until just clear add double cream and reduce return scallops and a large pinch of tumeric heat scallops ..just serve with crusty bread wrap scallops in bacon cook until bacon is cooked eat stir fry with garlic butter Cray big pot boiling water ( enuff to cover cray) salt sugar once water to boil add cray and submerse 6 mins chill imeadiately sevre with what ever ( vinager, tartare, mustard from head ( yes i know what it is)) cut in half lenght ways remove inards grill flesh side down until shell changes colour turn fill shell with cheese/chilli/garlic butter grill until flesh just pulls from sides Bisque Always keep carapice add to fish heads/frames with onions carrots celary garlic potatoes etc add 10 l of h20 boil until reduced by 2/3 strain bring back to boil reduce to just a simmer add fish fillets cheeks cray seafood of choice...not kina ....turn off as last piece goes into stock add dollop of double cream to thicken serve with crusty bread/ crusty garlic bread Take fresh fish fillets place in bowl cover with lemon juice and refridgerate over night drain & pat dry dip in mango pulp/pinapple pulp etc and devour HTH Navarre

Hi Reef, depends on how long she has been holding and also if you want babies or not Some people let them hold the first few times others strip them from the get go...matter of personal preference. I try ang wait as long as possible without mum loosing condition. that is my guiding principal. Generall 14-21 days is hold time for most africans If you strip there are a couple of methods. Over a jug of tank water or a net in the main tank you can gentle but firmly hold the Fem and open her mouth with a spoon or toothpick or your finger and "dunk" her until she is empty. I then float her in a net on the top of the tank until she looks ok and release her back into the colony. many different ways but all work and matter of works for you. You will need a small tank and a filter or lots of warter changes to hold babies in and pleanty of food for them. You dont need to feed while they have egg sacks and you can feed anything from crushed flake to bbs HTH Nav
