  7. remember reading a scientific article once on a species of bushbabies where it was found the ones that lived in the tree canopy had a slightly different call to the ones that lived lower down further studies revealed that they were 2 seperate sub species that couldn't interbreed as they had different shaped genitals man has different shapped genitalia than woman and those to species cross breed ..hells bells sometimes they even cross dress to make matter worse. Thank God she lets us practice to make sure we get it right tho eh

  10. So back to the point are you spending money on what you can have or what you are allowed....there is a BIG difference here. Which means to say you can have Leopards ...but they have no status You can have iggies....but ditto You can have torts ....oh hang on thats the same some some speices You are allowed natives...and they shouldnt cost you much at all Just wondering
  11. It was my impression that bio suppiles pet market was an aside to the bugs they supply for the medical industry amongst others...this may not be the case but that would imply that they have access to medically clean bugs...sterile?? Just a thought....have to find out where we get our leaches and maggots from and that will tell me I suppose? Nav
  12. Yes charlie and they have to inspect fences you have to have prior permision to relocate animals anywhere have approved vet facilities be in a breeding program or serender all eggs/offspring and so on and so on
  13. Ah yes but NZKC doesnt stop theft either and NZHS discussed opening the data base for exotics at last meeting And NZreptiles is a free discussion room for exotics and natives and many NZHS members keep both So my point is if all the energy that goes into establishing a new club went into the NZHS section for exotics wouldnt that be great for a club that is established, working, preserving our great natives as well as extoics and already has the departmental/ministerial ear? But maybe I am wrong....waggles fingers
  14. That club you are talking about ...isnt it called the New Zealand Herptological Society?
  15. moose released in dusky sound 1911 last one seen alive shot by percy lyes of hokitika in 1950s many reports since then but no evidence of anything living presumed extinct just like green iggies and monitors send the WD's down there to flush them out maybe?
