  1. Nah, young people don't like it cos den dey cant typ lik morons. I remember a survey where only 15% of people preferred predictive.
  2. I love predictive, though I've noticed I'm one of the few who do. It's faster cos you press less buttons! And since I don't use text language I'm not concerned that it doesn't have that in it's dictionary.
  3. Thanks for posting that, really interesting. I personally like the Chinese new-mother tradition, where she doesn't have to do any work or household duties for a month after childbirth.
  4. Ohhhhh can't wait for the mail tomorrow!
  5. Cheers Spoon. I only needed a few tiny pieces & John from Organisms kindly gave me some. Working on a cool project... Photos to come...
  6. I'm looking for some Tillandsia, aka Spanish Moss, Ball Moss, Air Plant. I only need a small amount so I'm not that keen to buy any off Trademe or from nurseries. It's to go in a terrarium. I'm pretty sure it grows in warmer climates outdoors, like hanging from trees and it's self propagating. Anyone willing to send me a small amount? I'll pay postage.
  7. Yeah, were you there when I was telling the story about the parrot at Orana Park which hates me? (Well, it hates blondes in general)... You can just tell by their body language if they're annoyed or just chillin'.
  8. I love that last photo, he looks so bedraggled and scruffy but also so happy. I gave my rats a bath today... they were not so pleased. If I see the cat, he's next (he doesn't mind them actually. Strange creature he is)
  9. When my flatmate got ottos they were $14.95 from Pet World ferry Rd. Funny how the big chain store fails at economies of scale eh
  10. Yes, but if they swarm all over a turtles shell they block vital sunlight?
  11. I know Donna has been having trouble with leeches in her turtle ponds - They get into the shell & make it pitted - and was seeking ways to get rid of them without having to drain & dry the ponds & move all the turtles. Any suggestions? (She had done a bit of research and confirmed they were leeches) ps I love planaria, their faces are so cute. Reminds me of high school biology and making them have multi heads.
  12. Hrmmmmmm, I'd volunteer my house (so I wouldn't have to drive home 8) ) but I don't think flatmate would be impressed if we got noisy and woke her babby. Unless it's an afternoon do?
  13. Live plants can really make the tank. I'd go for Trademe ones, way cheaper than in petstores.
  14. I'm in now if anyone wants to come par-teeeee
  15. Algae eater/gold algae eater? I rarely see Mr Algae Eater But in my flatmate's tank, Mr Sucky (GAE) is almost always out, brings a nice touch of colour to the tank, with his bright yelloness. Bristlenoses are ones you don't see often either, but I still love my 4.
  16. We should have a Totally Tanked cocktail party... It would be appropriate to our name!
  17. Spiders frighten me. It's time my enemies feel my dread.

  19. Just the fact you are asking all this shows you care & he/she will will have a happy life. Imagine all the poor animals that go to people who don't do any more research and get by on the starter packs that come with them
  20. So pretty. I love plecos but am too scared of losing too much money if one died or something At work, can you be like "Ahhh, nah, that's a bristlenose eh... Only $25..." to one of the n00b checkout staff?
  21. That sounds like effort.
