  1. Congrats mate. Seeya in chat tonight?
  2. Ohhhh hahaha, so we weren't the only ones! Hahahaha. I still think they looked out of place in Merivale, Christchurch.
  3. It does sound pretty red-neckish doesn't it. Maybe our neighbours considered us white trash, we were poor living in quite a nice suburb. And we always had 'weird' pets like lambs, rats, frogs etc. Kids at school used to ask me if I lived on a farm.
  4. When we were kids, my uncle (who was an avid hunter) gave my brother a deer skull + antlers and it eventually got attached to the top of our garage... Y'know, where normal people have a basketball hoop? At the time it seemed like nothing, but in hindsight I bet all our neighbours and random passerbys probably thought it looked terrifying. I wonder if local kids referred to us as the murder/witch house or something.
  5. Yeah, no gaps. My frog got out the other day! Flatemate found him on the floor. I have no idea how it happened as the lid flap is in the middle, so he would have to have crawled upside down to get out. Lucky he was found before he dried out too much or the cat found him.
  6. Well, we'll just have to make sure conference is extra awesome for you.
  7. So will using crushed garlic from a jar not be the same as using fresh??? I've been wondering about this for a while.
  8. Oh yeah, sorry, wasn't trying to take glory out of your photos or anything. I'm sure you had a great time. I am just really not a fan of white big cats
  9. I'm fairly sure most of the animals at Zion are inbred. They're ex-circus or descendants of circus animals. No self-respecting zoo would let Zion be apart of their breeding program.
  10. Ugh, white tigers make me cringe. Look at that inbred cross eyed expression!
  11. Cyber clean is awesome! You can make fart noises with it when you push it back into its tub. I'm glad I didn't get any cos I already have some. My Incredibles costume doesn't fit the babby
  12. In the mean time, can you go to your local lfs and get a test done by them? A decent one should do it for free. I'm not sure if Dunedin has any though?
  13. No-one tell Humvee... I was at her house the other night picking out snails for my clown loaches to eat.
  14. You should get a pair and leave them attached to the skull and put the hole thing in. The fish can live inside it and swim in and out through the eye holes. Your house guests would start perching on the edge of their seats, drinking their coffee as fast as possible, leaving as soon as they felt they could without causing offence. It'd be awesome!
  15. What type of lights are you using? (For the record, I don't know anything about plant keeping, my plants doing well is just luck, but that info might help the gurus advise you)
  16. Sounds like we're going around in circles here. (Although I like Carlos' post & agree with the "Spelling errors happen and that doesn't worry me, but like others I dislike the purposeful misspelling 'liek dis', merrrgghh, makes the poster sound like a complete drop kick.")
  17. I hope they open them to prove that nothing will happen and that ghosts don't exist. It'd be awesome. They could maybe get a tv deal and make a show documenting what happens after the opening. There's been so much publicity about this that it would attract a lot of attention. They'd get make their money back selling it to a TV network who'd make their money back from advertising.
  18. You could make a snail trap to at least ease the numbers, I'm not sure how effective they are at totally freeing your tank. Do a google search for how to make one. If you do & it works, report back! I suggest this every single time & noone ever gets back to us.
  19. Re: The Paragraph. The words with jumbled letters are easy to read, but I had to think harder for the ones that had wrong letters. I usually ignore the people who only post in txt speak.
  20. I anguished over it for ages cos I knew the odds of getting crap were pretty high... But I ended up doing it... Got a The Incredibles costume, for ages 3+ Although my flatmate has a babby, so I guess I can torment him with it.

Awww, wish I was in Wellington. Sounds like it'd be a really interesting place to look around.
  22. I agree. But I'm still going to mock the ppl who type liek dis
  23. Navmans were developed in NZ (software still made here I think). When I worked in rental vehicles, we had these for rent & didn't have problems with them. So easy to use, I'd often teach people who barely spoke English to use them (Although they did have most of the other languages)
