  1. Were you diving/snorkeling or looking in a rockpool?

Sam's idea is good, I wouldn't have thought about it before. Would make sense for Joe since he was concerned with account creation. I'm gonna use tinypic from now on with one-off pictures, so I don't have them in my flickr in future.

You can't host photos on this site directly. If you go to www.photobucket.com and create an account you can upload your photos to there. Then come back here, make a post and use the copy-paste IMG (from the photobucket site) to post the photo.
  4. A pipefish! Cute, the aquarium here used to have some in the sea horse tank.
  5. I love this bit too. How about the bit at the beginning of Up? The montage of their married life. Now that's a tearjerker.

Cool, I appreciate the offer. Looking forward to Wed! (assuming all my packages arrive by then. I'm doubtful)

Ok, talk me through the breeding & egg storage briefly? Or I'll have a chat to you on Wed about it. I'd love to be a part of spreading the killie love, but I'm not sure if I should take on anything that could possibly add more stress to my life. I'm not in that good a head-space & already have lots of animals to care for, I don't want to suddenly feel overwhelmed from all their maintenance. But than again maybe they'd have a positive impact as well *shrug* I have a soft spot for fish with defined stripes or spots as well, which I suppose is why the clowns really took my interest.

Thanks Barrie. I think I'll setup the small tank again, I'm too attached to everyone in my community tank to see any of them go. I'd probably prefer some youngish or adult fish, as I've had no experience with raising fry. But Alan makes the hatching sound so easy that I'd be open to hatching eggs myself if that's all that's available. Maybe I'll even join Killie Club too
  9. http://www.reptiles.org.nz/index.php?page=regulations-and-husbandry There's some info to have a look at here too, about the cage requirements & different levels of permits.
  10. bdspider posted a topic in Killies
Ok, I've been eyeing up these clown killies everyone keeps posting. They're beautiful, do they really have blue eyes or is that just the camera? I've been becoming more interested in killies over the last few months, they seem quite fascinating. They're ok in a community tank right? (*wonders what she'd have to sell in order to fit them in*) Or if I set up my 25l, is that too small? And who has some they can sell me? Anyone in Christchurch? Or does Zev have anymore to bring to conference?
  11. Except then all the morons out there would end up squishing a fish or two in the process.

A chest without hinges key or lid but inside golden treasures are hid. What is the chest and what is the treasure?
  14. Post the pictures. Start a new thread titled "OMG YOU GOTTA SEE THIS"
  15. I'm sure no-one will be upset, it's an intelligent thought out post. I do know what you mean by raising revenue, but could that short term boost come at a cost? It's hard to measure what effect it could have on our biggest export which I'm sure you know is tourism. Maybe out of sight mines won't be noticed by the tourists. Maybe the false 'clean green' image which attracts people will put them off. If I could be sure that it would only be small areas affected, with underground mines... Might be a different story. But even underground mines need their entrances & all the access roads and heavy machinery that needs to be transported in causes damage. When looking at tourism in SE Asia I remember how they have supposedly protected national parks too, but with enough money any developer can build in them, with the detriment to locals who wouldn't stand a chance of competing with international resort chains. Is that how we'll turn out? National Parks full of hotels and mines, purchased by the higher bidder?
  16. Oh I will. It's revenge for the other night, when people were talking about chocolate and roasted marshmallows and all sorts. btw, for guilt free icecream, freeze bananas overnight then blend/food process. It turns out the same texture as icecream. Then add in & blend your choice of flavour eg frozen berries, choc drops. etc. Is Yum.
  17. Actually, political leanings aside, I would be interested to hear why you support mining of conservation land Phoenix?
  18. I'm not in tonight, I'm participating in a dessert night! I hope you all feel jealous nyah nyah
  19. Man, babby frogs are sooooo cute.

Take away my first letter and I am unchanged; Take away my second letter and I am unchanged; Take away all my remaining letters and I am still unchanged! What am I?

    It's daytime?
  23. I've done this test a couple of times & always get a different result. Though I probably wouldn't trust one on Facebook. So I can't be bothered doing it again.
  24. The cutoff date for registration is May 15. If you are wanting to come & haven't let us know yet, make sure you get onto it asap so you don't miss out. Remember, anyone is welcome to come along to a meal or the bustrip. But we gotta let the places know numbers.
  25. I'm looking forward to tonight, can't wait to see what JenH has made to eat this month
