  1. cool, thanks for your help. I didn't realise they are more aggressive than others. So dwarf gouramis would be fine (size wise) with the angels? I was thinking of the gold gouramis because they get bigger, so they would beable to stand up to the angels
  2. How do i tell the diff btwn males and females? Do you think i could get more than 2 gouramis, stocking level wise?

    BN caves

it takes about 5-7 days for them to hatch
  4. I've got 4 angels in a 100 litre tank. I'm considering getting 2 gouramis. possibly gold gourami. Other than the angels theres 1 blue ram, some gbas and a albino rainbow shark. Could it work?

Congrats I knew it would happen eventually!
  6. I was waiting for someone to say something about his weight I think, when i didn't know how much to feed i over fed
  7. The photo was taken at night, when they all come out from hiding. And there was probably food where they're congregating.
  8. They're both neutered so there'd be no adorable babies from them Whatever her motive, she's very cute
  9. i've sent them before, so i'm happy to do so again. Anyone that wants some, just pm/email me. All it would cost is postage.
  10. I prefer my ramshorns which don't seem to breed as fast, but they look cooler
  11. One must have come on a plant and now i have plenty  I think its time for a cull

    GBA eggs

Heres some pics of my gba eggs. I decided to take them away from the dad. Eggs: A couple have hatched: A couple of days later: Its cool to see them grow from an egg, then something that only just resembles a gba and now to a mini gba
  16. Some mornings my neighbours cat (Tinkerbell) comes to my little deck when her owners leave to go to work. Well a couple of mornings ago, my cat (Firefly) saw her. She wanted to play: And he was confused (she stands up and paws the glass) Then (somehow) she ended up on her back: (excuse fireflys patch of no fur, he had an operation)
  17. you'll need to make sure to have a cave for each species (atleast) cos problems can occur if they want the same cave. I've got yoyo loaches and bns in the same tank, i had some problems with them wanting the smae cave, put another cave in and there's no problems
  18. When i was unsure about my stand holding the tank, my dad sat on it and it didn't break 8) (mind you my tank is only 100litres) but you could try the same thing (get 10 people to sit on it) or something similar
  19. I think i'm wanting to move the ram to another tank- he's lonely i think. Then i'm gonna move my glassbloodfins to the tank and buy 6 neons. Later on when i get more money i might get some glowlights. I've had bettas before and i find they don't swim around much. and i'm forever worrying that they're dead! I like the lemons, but i think they're not brite enough and they're seethrough like the glassbloodfins. I've got guppies in another tank, so i don't wanna over stock this one so i can put some of the guppy babies in this tank. So that probably cuts out the platy option.
  20. I used to have danios in a tank, but i got sick of them. I loved them when i first got them tho. I like long finned danios, they're on my list now
  21. I've got a 50l tank that needs a midwater type of fish. (or something else) In it at the moment is 1 blue ram (won't be getting more of them) and some baby gbas. On my list are: Platys Neons Dwarf gouramis Cherry barbs i'm sure there are other options out there that i haven't thought of yet... Any suggestions?
  22. Its hard to pick! but i think Grandma's Boy and Flicka (the most recent version) and Semi Pro are the top of my list.

When mine started breeding it was courgette (which your already doing) and a cold water change, just put one bucket of cold water in, but make sure not to pour it over any of the fish. it should be fine i've done it many times. In the wild they breed because of a seasonal temp change so by putting in some cold water it triggers them to breed like it would in the wild.

I know its frustrating, but maybe leave them alone for another month and see if they do breed, stability could be the key When you tried a cooler water change was it still warm or straight from the cold tap? (don't do a massive change straight for the cold tap tho  )

Do your caves have one opening? You could switch males? or put your female in the tank with the other male in. Do you feed other sinking tablets too?
