  1. Another point to remember. If you are a qualified appliance repairer you should have no problems finding work. We have problems in our area of not enough trained workers that want to do it. REMEMBER you are fixing things that people dont really want to pay for. Endless complaints and irate customers doesnt make for a happy work environment. The work may be fun and easy, but remember that with the broken washing machine comes the angry housewife/husband that doesnt think that they should have to pay for something to be fixed. I manage an appliance retail store and believe me, the endless complaining we get from customers whining about the $60.00 fee to have someone come over because they swear that the machine is faulty(no matter how many questions they are asked to try find out what sort of problem) and when the service agent arrives and discovers that the problem is user fault. My boss shut up his service shop in sourh taranaki as he could not find staff. Sorry im not trying to put you off, just wanting to point out that while the work can be fun, the customers can make it miserable for you. my 10 cents worth any way
  2. What are the legalities in keeping skinks as pets? I rang DOC today to ask them but there was no one around as they were all out fihting scrub fires etc. I kept some as a kid and was wondering if i could try them again as they are neat to watch fossiking around for insects etc. Help? Anyone?
  3. Did you buy this from your LFS? I wonder if half of the stores even know what it is their selling. It is Syngonium ,Not a true aquarium plant. It will rot, die and pollute your tank if left in. Will go ok for a few weeks in cooler water but does not like warmer water temps. It will start to go brown and die. Looks great in frog setups etc , and will last alot longer if grown semi submersed but will eventually die. In short , it is a popular pot plant, and in a pot in your living room is where it will be best. Ps, i hope that you didnt pay to much, as you can buy these as babby plants at the red shed for $2.00 HTH
  4. Im not sure on rubber bands, but I attach my Anubias and java fern to rocks and wood using elastic thread. i find the best stuff is the stuff i use to hold fish bait on my longline hooks. Its about $2 or $3 for a roll and can be bought at most fishing supply shops(saltwater) http://www.tackletactics.co.nz/BaitElastic.html this is an example of the stuff I use(not the coloured one  ) HTH
  5. You state that it is new.. Go back to the place of purchase and get it replaced or exchanged. Goods sold must perform their intended tasks. A suction cup is intended to stick to the glass, so if i were you id be contacting the place you bout it from. Nothing is more frustrating than suction cups failing on a filter. the filter tends to move and become restricted no matter how secure you try to prop it up with something.
  6. I think you thinking bout a different type of box subzero.lol I sell stuff in boxes.
  7. not really sure what type of sword it is. gonna get rid of it though cos it too big. Unfortunatly (well for the tanks, that is) im moving next week so the tanks are all going to be dismantled for the shift. im gonna start fresh with everything iv learned from these setups.

The second showing what the lake should look like. 12. I think that once everything starts to grow and fill out abit, that is gonna look pretty cool. Well done, keep at it and like me youll find that the plants are just as interesting to keep as the fish.

  19. 9 Things I Hate About Everyone 1. People who point at their wrist while asking for the time.... I know where my watch is pal, where the hell is you rs? Do I point at my crotch when I ask where the toilet is? 2 People who are willing to get off their ass to search the entire room for the T.V.. Remote because they refuse to walk to the T.V. And change the channel manually. 3 When people say "Oh you just want to have your cake and eat it too". Damn right! What good is cake if you can't eat it? 4 When people say "it's always the last place you look". Of course it is. Why the hell would you keep looking after you've found it? Do people do this? Who and where are they? Gonna Kick their asses! 5 When people say while watching a film "did you see that?". No Loser, I paid $12 to come to the cinema and stare at the damn floor. 6 People who ask "Can I ask you a question?".... Didn't really give me a choice there, did ya sunshine? 7. When something is 'new and improved!'. Which is it? If it's new, then there has never been anything before it. If it's an improvement, then there must have been something before it, couldn't be new. 8 When people say "life is short". What the hell?? Life is the longest damn thing anyone ever does!! What can you do that's longer? 9 When you are waiting for the bus and someone asks "Has the bus come yet?". If the bus came would I be standing here, dumbass?
