  1. The sad thing for me is, my mate, named kyle and pretty much fitting that discription, glasses and all, actually did it. I lost a really great mate. Makes me think to myself now, where the hell was i when he needed us. Taught me many lessons of life he did.I sort of went off the deep end, but it really made me realise how cruel life can be. Rest in peace Kyle Edwards 1981-1998

I wouldnt mind getting some Bolbitis heudelotti if anyone knows where some is available. I was once told that Aponogeton madagascariensis was in NZ, but that was only hearsay.
  5. I second that. I got heaps of it. I find it tends to grow small like that if left floating.

Cheers Ian I thought that was the case up there, unlike wanganui where the streams seem to stay in flood for a day or two after the rain. We have had such huge downpours here lastnight. Will hopefully stop at some of the streams near stratford and check them out.

What does everyone feed their whiteworms. Ive tried rice, spaghetti(both cooked) bread. was wondering what others are feeding. Also what lasts longest as im finding that mould sets in pretty fast.

  17. I was down the beach today and i found a fish i have never seen before. I do a lot of fishing so am quite familiar with the local species, this is one i have never seen before. To be honest, the shape of it was similar to a maomao, it was about the size of a reasonably sized snapper. it had lots of sharp teeth. It had been dead a while and had been picked over by gulls. Does anyone know a website that has lots of pics of local marine fish. i tried searchin on google but it kept refering me to books. Or does anyone here have any suggestions I am determined to find out what species it was, and no i didnt take a photo.

Yeah i am aware of the large numbers available in streams up there in raetihi as an old workmate used to catch them and eat em. I just dont really know which streams to go to and its a bit far to go with no idea where im going. the only place i can think is the stream that runs through Kune.
