I have noticed a lot of solid fish waste on the bottom of my tank is this normal. I doo vacume weekly, 12x big gourami in tank plus assorted others

Thanks It seems to have goten slightly worse but its not really to bad, will try not feeding and see how it goes

I have the 2200, and have never seen a small black tube :lol: , though each basket has a bit of tube attached to it and he top one has a seal thing to go onto the impeller lid bit -
I belive that t8 lamps are 1 inch in diameter, whilst t5 are considerably smaller, probably around .5 of an inch. I would say that an aqua one tank would probably have t8, but I could be wrong :lol:

About 8 weeks, is the ph alright or should I be doing something about it?

Hi, I just noticed lastnight that the tank was slightly cloudy ( I can see the out line of the heater from one end (tank is 5.5 ft long)). I did all the tests to discover that everything is really good except the ph which is aroung 8. What should I do? Thanks,

I have the 2200 and just turn off the big tap, then take the black hosey thing out and mov the thing to the sink.

Not looking at readings I would probably Go with the mercury one, electronic things have a habit of going wrong. A chemical change should be more accurate I would have thought

Cann anyone tell me why the twmp in my tank fluctuates so much it seems to vary by about 2 degrees? Ps. Its a 450l tank inside the house

Some of my vallisneria has an algae which I have never seen before, its like hair and it feels like hair and when you pull it out its very strong, eg its sorta hard to break? What is it and how do I get rid of it?

I just brought 6 golden honey gouramis, what should I feed them. They dont seem interested in flake food?

If there is no chlorine in our tap water can I just put water straight from the tap in the tank when doing water changes?, or do I need an aging bin?

I have that on the suckers for filter pipes, but is getting better.

I run a aquis 2200, in the same range is the 2400 which would probably be suitable. The 2200 is great, though not completely silent like the eheims.

They are on photobucket not on my computer. The rocks are from kilmog area in dunedin. I just wanted to know if they would be alright in tank?

I always use elite, never had any problems. I hear that you should stay away from master pet heaters.

I had that problem in my other tank but I added more substrate and it was fine. In my new tank I have about 60mm of substrate and everything is fine.
