nice work, that looks sweet. i have seen pics of a terracota pot cut in half long ways & siliconed to a sheet of glass but yours look way better.

i reckon if we got a better pic of the "e yellow" we would see a kenyi, it's mouth is to round to be a lab at all.

i would say they are kenyi & cobalt crosses, not sure where the e yellow comes from.

the jagers burn out their fuse if they jam on so IMO you are more likely to save your fish if that happens. well, africans would cope with a cold tank anyway.

the jagers have specially treated glass to prevent that happening, if you search youtube you may also find a rena being run over by a van. i would be more concerned by how they actually heat & maintain the temp of the tank, that to me is what makes a good heater & not if you can fully heat them up & drop them into a tank or be able to run over one. i personally recommend jagers for the fact they do a better job as a heater than others i have had.

the cooked ones break up & make a mess, i put some frozen ones in a cup of warm warm to thaw then shell & feed. i feed them a couple of times a week & my fish seem to do really well on them.

they perform better with a good head height
