  1. hypotheticaly, have you got a straight edge to place against the front of the tank to see if the panel is bowed? & hypotheticaly, how thick is the glass?
  2. i looked for *scratches head with one eye closed & half face palm* but was unable to locate one. due diligence may prevent any serious bidders in this case.
  3. this website is for sale on TM for $50K. so far is has had 2 auctions, one was a test.
  4. i believe sensible opinions of the small tank with e yellows not being suitable is lost now firenzenz. as for making the conditions suitable for them in their apartment, in my experience ph is not a major factor in their well being or breeding abilty as long as it is in the 7's or higher & is stable. i had mine in around 7.3 or so IIRC & they did very well, i have arogonite with shell pieces as a substrate which raised the tap ph slightly. i am currently on tank water, concrete tanks with a ph of around 7 which raises to around 7.2 or so in the tank with the substrate & the tangs also do well. as long as the ph is stable & not too far from their wild requirements they will adjust, if you start messing with it & it swings you are going to have big issues.
  5. hmm, nasty little dudes indeed. mine are around 3cm & do a little chasing but not really alot yet.
  6. it must have been over 5kgs? i have sent 40 times in total i guess with NZC & postehaste & have found the service equal with PH being cheaper.
  7. nice altos, what size are they?
  8. animates west auckland worker gets bitten by a rottie http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/artic ... d=10660889
  9. then i wouldn't plan on getting the yellows for a VERY long time there are other option to the yellows for that sized tank, some shell dwellers like some lamprologus ocellatus would be sweet in there i think. http://cichlid-forum.com/profiles/category.php?cat=14
  10. i would suggest you stick to dwarfs until you have a larger tank.
  11. i have never seen so many collectable old cars for sale that in the current times. when surplus money reduces the first things to go are the toys.
  12. i think the sale was legit, a little birdie told me.
  13. yes, adjust it down to 26 to see if it is working properly. i find it odd it's strugling with keeping the temp.
  14. set the heater to 26 & see how it does
  15. i would like to check the litreage with dimensions
  16. if there has been one there will most certainly be many more in the future although i am now getting used to them eating the eggs now. in time they will produce, what size is the fish?
  17. from memory the 100w is suited for 150L tanks. is your tank in a very cold room?
  18. i doubt it will be 300 watts, those heaters are almost 2 feet long & will easily keep that size tank up tp the max temp. they are rated for up to 1000L tank. it should have the litreage & wattage on the top of the heater. can you take a picture?
  19. how many watts is the heater? the "25-300" doesn't make much sense to me. i would recomend a 150 watt jager which will be plenty for that size tank.
  20. yeah that's a good way of putting it. are they that size all through life & are they slowish getting around?
  21. so i am guessing that is how all BT's legs are? they look really small & kinda weird to me
