i have a bit too but never had any probs with water quality from that

did you try it without the heater? maybe if the light was enclosed in a hood it would generate enough heat to keeo the temp high enough

i very rarely gravel vac at all. i used to be really paramoid bout it when new to fish keeping but only do it once every 8 weeks or so just to keep up appearance

nah they mix well with alsorts. i have 2 clowns & 2 skunks in a community tank with tetras, angels etc & no problems with the loaches at all.

add two clown loaches. snails never to be seen!

i have not had apple snails but how would the catch a fish? I would have thought the fish would literally have to fall into their lap for them to caught by the snail.

do you remove the propeller & scrub the slime out of it? they get clogged between the magnetic shaft & casing so that needs to be ckeaned more than likely.

in my 200L i have two 150w heaters. prob more a problem with my cheap inaccurate aqua one digital thermometer than the actual temp.

does anyone think using the lead plant weights are easy & cost nothing. there are some pretty elaborate ways to weight a piece of cucumber noted.

i wouldn't worry about it, mine fluctuates by 3 deg sometimes. in the wild the temp would surely go down from time to time. not sure how much water ways would go down at night, anyone know?

i got my Aqua One CF1000 from pet planet for $125. its the best thing i've ever had. its silent & does a fantastic job!

i dont have a big net so i pull all bits out of tank & chase em into the corner. using two small nets helps rather than one

my yellow labs were crazy in the pet store, got em home & i to had invisable fish. thought it was the light at first. got some fryeri tank mates & now they aren't so shy

my aqua one digital is around 1.5 degrees hotter than my mercury item

my sister works in a daycare in queenstown, they had losses when some playdough was posted in there. that is normal she said & they dont normally die. she discovered that the particular dough this day had spices like lavender in it. they still leave it in easy reach of children so they can interact with them ...... pc bullsh..

i have a pair in my 200L with a pair of angels. they could ideally have more room, especially when the angels are spawning. prob has more to do with the height of your tank as they tank the same space as the angels & hang around the top.

i have two clowns & two skunks & they get along really well. i also use the lead weight that comes with plants to weigh the cucumber down.

the instructions that came with my cf1000 shows the bio balls in the bottom of the canister, bottom (1 of 2) trays has ceramic bio rings & top tray has a wool pad the can also have additional media

I have glowlights, they are transparent except for the coloured stripe. do albino glowlights have pink eyes? how does there body differ?

pink highlight tetras? is that a glowlight tetra?

i have a cf1000 & its great. have you checked that the water it is actually flowing out the spraybar? I mistakenly fitted an end cap as a jointer in the spraybar & blocked the flow :oops:
