  1. yeah they have grown. I love all tropheus especially these (duboisi), cherry spots & moliro. If i could i would spend $1K on getting all of them but sadly not a priority with a young family. I had a female hold for the first time a few weeks ago so maybe that may generate some income to buy more.
  2. i have seen them kept singly with other africans as i do. i'm sure they wouldn't be too much drama except for a lonely fish.
  3. i feed a range of food, jbl novorift sinking sticks, jbl novovert flake, sera granugreen, shelled peas, sushi wrap & occasionally blood worms.
  4. i crush the sinking sticks i feed the adults, it works well.
  5. up to 5 inches. these guys are con specific aggressive which means they are really aggro to their own kinda. i have got away with a group of 9 but it's not recommended to have less than twelve. Fortunately i ended up with 4 males & 5 females so that may be the reason for siccess. If you get 6 you may quickly have 1 left as the dominant fish will kill off all the rest. You need to spread the aggression. Then there's the food, they bloat very easily apparently, i haven't had any of mine bloat but i do know that others have.
  6. in the mid to late 90's it was great racing as the cars were the same as the road cars just with alot of mods. I totally agree with you about the cars being the same etc & i believe that v8 supercars is currently at a cross road & depending on which way they go will determine whether i take any further interest in it. i have a heavily modified holden & thats what i have been into since i was a small child just how others are into other things, i have always been a rev head but thats just me. I struggle to understand the passion some people have for football but i do understand its the same passion i have for cars just they like foot marbles instead. If you look at the amount of people that follow super cars, its no small sport. there were 200,000 people at bathurst over 4 days, there aren't too many events that bring numbers like that. If i remember right i think there were 150,000 people over 4 days at the hamilton 400 to.
  7. 4 footer (220L) - 9 Tropheus duboisi, 4 e yellows, 3 baenschi peacocks, 4 clown loaches & GAE. (2000lph filtration) 4 footer (300L) - 9 Red Empress, 2 Red Zebra, 3 Lump Heads, 6 fryeri. (2200lph filtration) most fish are around 3 or 4 inches in length.
  8. your memory doesn't work very well, ford have had it good for a few years but the 10 years before that you may not want to talk about.
  9. here's some pics i just took of my tropheus, yellow & peacock.
  10. sorry to all the ford fans out there, a whole year of bragging rights go to holden!
  11. thanks but that is life, it was a good experience having him.
  12. i am very keen but i don't have a hutch etc & there are many upgrades i dream of doing to my fish setups before i will spend $ & time on yet another type of pet. fish, cats, sheep & chooks are it for me for now. if soemone was giving them away then i would jump at it.

    Beware of the kakapo...

who just sits there & lets an animal try to shag them like that????? funny that the kakapo tried it on but wierd he let it go on for so long. :-?
  15. it was said, he died about 5 o'clock. my kiddies really enjoy him so were heart broken about it. I like to see positive things in bad situations & what having him over this week made me realise is that they would make fantastic pets. this bunny loved cuddling & being held, he would run across the floor & jump on you & go to sleep. he was very quite, great to watch his little white tail bobbing around & when he stuck his tounge out it was funny to watch.
  16. prolapsed rectum? I saw a video of that happen to a weigh lifter once
  17. nah nothing around, he has only been in the same two rooms he has been for a week now. He is gasping for air occassionly now so it is a good buy to our funny little mate.
  18. Yeah he was doing well. He changed from being fine one minute to hopeless the next.
  19. well today is not a good day. the bunny has eaten reasonably well & drank alot up until now. But it is now not eating, doesn't want to be held which is what it has wanted more than anything in the time we have had it & its running around with no balance & falls over. I think the end is neigh.
  20. what size is the fish & tank?
  21. could be a few of them, two at the top of my list would be the giraffes or lump heads but it depends on size. It could also be the peacock male & snow whites.
