  1. Sorry just red your post an hour ago saying you will update us
  2. Sorry, should have mentioned that, stop feeding them in winter, some people feed once a week but I leave it altogether, how did it go?
  3. Yeah, sounds like constipation problems as one of my goldfish did the same thing. Move it to a small bucket with a gentle airstone and put in a couple of teaspoons of epson salt (cures constpation), feed it peas for the day and it might be OK. Mine had this treatment and fully recovered with the day, he's now happily out in the pond getting conditioned for spring. Also, tell them not to feed pellets, this is what normally causes the problem, flakes are good. Goodluck
  4. That is a big problem with trademe in my opinion, you are putting full trust in the seller with no idea whether they are telling the truth or have taken a photo of another fish and put it on auction, yeah, you might be able to not complete the trade, but the hassle of travelling to find its not the actual described item. Personally I sometimes leave my contact details and use trademe as a 'trade and exchange' where I phone and ask many questions to be certain... Against the trademe rules but there is no other way really.
  5. Yeah but we are quite far away, said I was quite local mainly to get him to contact me about other questions I had...
  6. Sorry maybe slightly off the topic
  7. I'm interested in those L169's but you don't know how close they look to it in the photo... Anyone know of any others around?

    Zebra plecs

So there are a few more around Text that guy who accidently left his number a while back to see how they were going, no reply as yet
  9. There was one on trademe and saw one on hold at HFF albany for $100 or so (large one).
  10. There are golden arowana on there (on the CITES list too), do these often come in?? Also, just curious, I presume these are the fish that are allowed to be imported from the wild, but there is no restriction in importing any captive bred species if you manage to find a source, is that right?
  11. Weird. You saw for yourself how well they multiplied (all the babies you also bought from me), must have been the water
  12. Would have to get a male first, been looking for adult singles and pairs and have managed to find another single I can buy, but would need to find out its sex... Then maybe we can talk...
  13. Yeah, will most likely be infertile, but as livingart said you never know... If your neice is ever wanting to sell her I would be interested in her to pair up with a bearded male, but I'm not pushing her to sell it or anything, just if she ever decided to
  14. Those albino glowlights are neat fish, have six in with five albino neones and twenty normal neons. I wonder if thats what you are meaning.
  15. I haven't had to feed tadpoles but I have heard that they can be taught to eat fishfood. Also, maybe those mozzie larvae things might work. Can I ask if there were any yellow tadpoles??
  16. Well mine all went to you, you tell me
  17. What sort of foods do they eat and how expensive are they to feed and care for? Asking because I am looking at getting a pair of bearded dragons now
  18. Are you allowed to keep tortoises without any permit etc???
  19. I'm sure it was chameleons  Maybe I was thinking iguanas, I am talking a couple of years back though... Probably got myself confused
  20. What about chameleons (the ones that change colour), I saw them on trademe at $5000 a while back (couple of years) anyone private still have them?
  21. No problems, he deserves first choice for another if you find one (considering he spent $805 ).
  22. Yeah, I gave him a ring and could have them for just over $100 each, here I was thinking he was greedy... He'll be wanting more for them now Karlene (suppose your stu45), please let me know if you find anymore of your albino, leucism frogs, have the room and want to get them established.
  23. I had a problem with one of mine resting on the bottom and always going on its side. I seperated him into a half full bucket of clean water with a gentle airstone and put a couple of teaspoons of epsom salt (bought from any supermarkets)... After about a day he was back to normal and swimming with no trouble (I suspected he had constipation) I find that small volumes of water help the fish get the treatment instantly and effectively. Also, if it recovers, avoid feeding it goldfish sinking pellets, go for flake etc. Hope this helps. Goodluck
  24. This one will get a huge amount of $$$ because the potential bidders don't realise he has 40 or so more he is planning to sell
  25. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Home-living/Pe ... 754232.htm Original seller of the albino frogs have listed more... They previously told me they had about 40 for sale but in the Q&A said they have 2...
