  1. Hey everyone Wow its been ages since i've posted something on this forum! I hope all is well with everyone on here I am wanting another tank made for my cabinet as my current one is getting quite old and I was wondering who you guys would suggest to do this?? Thanks so much
  2. I just think it really stinks what they have done to you Varonophile Is there nothing at all anyone can do for you? I have no idea how MAF etc works but have heard of a few situations where they have not made the best call on things... Really sorry to hear about the situation
  3. Sweet. They should be OK then as they aren't V.gigantea
  4. There is also 35 or so large vallisneria that I have to send to the same address. Would I just put them all together in a larger bag with a bit more water or would they be best to go in smaller lots? I've been given $10 for sending them all but happy to bit a bit more out of my own pocket to make sure they all arrive there save...
  5. Thanks everyone for the suggestions Hopefully they all arrive OK
  6. Hey guys, I have a few plants from my tank to send off and I was wondering if anyone knew the best method of sending them? I was thinking overnight courier with them in a ice-cream container or something? Do they need to be fully submerged in water when sending? Do they need any kind of heat source when sending in this weather? Who is the best company to go with and do anyone know roughly how much it would cost? Cheers
  7. Awesome pics. Next time I'm down your way I will be sure to visit. To tell you the truth I never knew the place existed until recently
  8. Sounds like a hoax then  It was on the trade and exchange website- one was being sold for $25 and another for $950 or something (this one even had a phone number to contact the owner) I was looking forward to a monkey companion
  9. I came across someone selling baby capuchin monkeys here in New Zealand. Surely it is a spam?? Has anyone ever come across anything like this before? I would love a baby monkey but somehow doubt they would be allowed in private hands Any ideas :-?
  10. Thanks everyone for the comments- it sounds like diving isn't compulsory so I think I will do the papers and see from there Lol I was hoping to go to PhD level so its good to hear that you can use that to your advantage Submarines aren't a bad idea  Don't really know how deep "deep underwater" means, I presuming much more than 20m??? Yeah it is a bit of a bummer but not being able to dive is a very small price to pay to have a second chance of life though which is what I am really grateful for :bounce: Yay it all sounds like good news! Thanks so much everyone
  11. I went to see my neurosurgeon the other day to ask if I am ever allowed to dive. He said there is no way that I am allowed to because I had a brain tumour when I was younger and so my brain couldn't stand the pressure of being deep underwater This was not the news I wanted to hear because I was planning on doing a course at uni next year with most papers heading towards a job in marine biology. Is diving essential for getting a job in marine biology and if so are there any similar alternatives that I could consider for a job? :-? Because of my passion for animals I would prefer to get a career in that sort of field rather than medicine etc- hopefully something will be out there Any advice would be great! Thanks
  12. Lol I was thinking the same thing :-?
  13. Lol that looks really adorable  Poor thing though
  14. Congrats on your grades and all the best for the last grade that you are waiting on Rozski
  15. You saw chameleons for sale Where?? Are you sure that your eyes weren't playing tricks on you
  16. Chemistry was hard, especially Aqueous chem, but who cares!!! ITS NOW THE HOLIDAYS!!! :bounce: :bounce: Goodbye NCEA!!
  17. Thought I would add a quick post to update this thread. Well english was impossible, science was OK, the scholarship exams are all ridiculous and physics was a joke  The hardest thing is definately the time issue... How's everyone else going with their exams?? Eight down and one to go for me (or three if I decide to do those other two schol exams  )
  18. With just over two hours to go I am beginning to wonder why I even bothered taking english this year. Yikes this exam is going to be hard!!
  19. Lol i'm dreading english and don't want to study it either  Have you red this article? If a couple of NCEA exams seemed extra tricky this year it may not have been due to a lack of study -- errors have been picked up in two at level 3. The New Zealand Qualifications Authority said the calculus exam sat on Tuesday had a set of brackets missing on a formula sheet while a biology exam on Monday wrongly labelled a graph depicting movement of larvae in relation to high tide times. Deputy chief executive, qualifications Bali Haque said the papers were checked multiple times but errors still managed to slip through occasionally. "We want to be clear that where an error occurs in an exam paper, candidates will not be disadvantaged." Answers given with or without taking brackets into account would be marked correct in the calculus exam and the biology graph -- while potentially confusing -- was not expected to have "a significant impact" on students' answers. That answers why I found the animal paper hard I wonder what they are going to do. I think a few questions were based on that graph
