mine seem to change colour within a couple of hours its unreal :lol: the yollow/orange 1 i posted the pic of yesterday is dull this morning, so much for morning glory 8)

4gt about this thread etc :oops: both mine have a bulge/s and the male sorta has a split so 2 bulges, cant get a close look at the female sorry. Anyone else know more about sexing these and at what size/age etc?

kool cheers, dunno about water parameters i dnt beleave in tests lol, never had a problem everything breeds so not complaining! Probably lack of water changes & inconsistant feeding as ive been slack as ova the past few months hence why im surprised everythings still breedn, Ill see if i can chuck it in a tank of its own, i just thought it maybe a common problem!!

Um. . pass cant rememba wot i paid (probably sumthin silly) as had em a year + i do know i got them from 2 differant sources, now they just in a holding tank as havent had much time l8tly and they breeding without trouble, make a GREAT offer and i MAY consider it :lol: !

Just noticed 1 of my whiptails has lost the end of its tail (appears to be rotting?) In a tank with a group of whips and babies, all seem fine they breed without trouble but then i find this guy, any tips??

Im geussing we talking cockroaches? Breeding wise been there done that, waste of time IMO now just focusing on locusts & mealworms, in saying that still good to give em variety just go diggin around in the garden :lol:, or someone elses

More todo with size i think, as you can hold em bak hugely by not feedn much :oops: , my japs are 3years + which i bought as a breedn pair about a year ago an this is my second season of breedin them and theyre 12cm+ My chinas i didnt think would breed this year but found eggs yesterday, got 3unknown (atleast 1 male obviously) and my female about 9 cm which i thought was a male until i saw it laying this mornin :roll: Im no expert both sexs look alike to me but the males cloaca (sp?) is slightly bigger but i just wait for em to lay eggs or the males wave there tail about when in breedn mode!

very easy care -NO HEAT, keep cool as poss, some ppl keep in basements etc etc, but in saying that mine have been upto 26-27 maybe more in this weather and still breeding happily! - tank with an inch or 2 of water -rock/driftwood 4 landarea and if you wanna get really fancy chuck in some plants, i just float indian fern in my tanks! Without even trying ive got both japs and chinese newts breeding 8)

Short answer NO You could buy it and grow it up until it morphs and colours up, i could be wrong but i think once they have colour theyre toxic therfor no more canabilism, in saying that i noticed a foot missing on 1 of my larger newts the other day, hmmmm. Sorry to hear bout the other newt, theyre great escapes huh

been meaning to send repto some pics of 1 of his babies i got off him, possibly the brother of the beadie pictured at the start of this thread?? the photo doesnt do the colours justice but anyway,also ive noticed amongst my beardies they change colour often (maybe depending on mood?)
