THat explains alot and about identification
I have a golden algae eater and that has worker wonders for me. It doesnt get that green spot algae though :-? Ottos will stay a lot smaller also 4cm SAE's get 14 i think.
The replacement looking good. They like to chase each other around the tank.
Thanks people - I will try them with peas, if it works it works, if not back to the fridge
Any body fed capsicum?
I remember seeing a thread on fresh foods people feed their fish but cant find it. Im looking fresh foods that GBA's would eat.
I have tried Courgette/Zuchini and Cucumber and i know lettuce can be fed also but can things like capsicum and fruit like apple and pear be fed?
thanks :bounce:
yeah UV could work but probably a bit more expensive
If one face of the tank is getting the most light you could try putting a backing on it to block out the natural light. If there is a window behind the tank a backing would probably help there also.
I back up Luke*s red betta/bloodworm thing (couldnt think of a better word) . I have had the same experience. I had a male in with neons and glowlights and after the first day where the bettas fins seemed to look like food they were fine.
It was sold to me as hygrophylia polysperma. I think it is more of a nutrient deficieny as the leaves all change colour rather than some parts of the plant being diferent.
I have half dosed some liquid ferts - i dont want to become overun with algae
Thanks for your help :bounce:
From what you said about coral sand i assume that you are going for africans.
There are two types Malawi and Tangayikan cichlids. they require slightly diffrent water parameters and malawis can be stocked slightly heavier.
Heya Everyone
I recently have added some JBL balls to my tank under the main plants.
THe polysperma was lookin a bit yellow but it turned greeen for about three days and produced new leaves but then it went back to producing yellow leaves. I am wondering whether i should try some liquid ferts as i was wondering whether plants that we make cuttings of take in nutrients better through water than through their roots.
Does anyone know anything about this?
thanks :bounce:
