My purple LTA did that for a long time, I just kept water parametres normal, weekly WC of 25%, increased flow and tried feeding it daily real small bits of fish. It would only eat maybe 20 % of what I offered it but after a few months it came back, real slowly though! It was lookin real bad, not attaching to rocks and lookin real slack. Now its back to how it was but has green tips now :-?

I did the same and had the same good result, it is in a V crevice and attached just like Chimera explained. Try create lots of different sized gaps ect for it.

I'm very impressed with the prizm pro and its backup vessel. I adjusted the flow the wrong way after a night on the booze :oops: and woke up the next day to a backup three quarters full !! nothing on the carpet and no skimmate returned to my tank Once my head was sorted out I re adjusted my prizm and havn't had to touch it since.

Like I said in my post, It's a question. Like bychineva I'm looking at the two and trying to decide. I've seen what a prizm pulls and was impressed, so why would I want to spend so much more on a skimmer for a 400lt tank?

Sounds like your up for the prizm vs deltec mce600 challenge? I'd be happy to be put in my place cause then I'd know if it's worth spending more :lol: guess you allready have a deltec to compare to?

Mate I'm going to go for a prizm on my new tank. Think some Deltec buyers are victims of good advertising? Thats a question! Surely you can get equal skimming using a different brand??? at a lower price...... just quietly

Ahaha But seriously my male clown died and I now need a single male for her, she is only a 2 inch long occ. clown. So do I add a larger or smaller mate for her. If I add a larger clown will she turn male or is she a female for good now? I'd really appreciate some advice on how to introduce a new mate for her Thanks Shane

Simple question How many hours do you have your MH's on for each day? Do you guys with higher wattage have shorter light periods?

Had no ill effects but I dont have a lot of coral. Stopped doseing and 2 weeks later algae break out! But I believe I have a clean tank with voddies, its 8 mths old, started with dead rock and it looks good (clean) to me. Sailfin tang does a mint job and he's only a little fella.... mean algae eating machine when he gets bigger 8)

Had another go today with a cleaner....... and good as gold Thanks for all your advice. He's been in for an hour and has allready found a scrap of food for dinner.

Yea she has a mate and it seems like she is always trying to push him towards the anemone :-? maybe she is biting the anemone to move it to her mate ? I have two rock mounds in our tank and the anemone is on the one the clowns spend less time around ( thanks to my ytd).... should I move the anemone to the clowns preferred side??

Gidday, My female occ. clown is biting our LTA anemone's tips. She bit a tip off tonight They have never been interested in it.... so could she be testing it out? It has been walking a little for about a week and I'm quessing thats the reason why. Should I let it be or place the anemone in my Q tank? it's not looking too impressed Cheers Shane

ha ha I can walk down my track and fill two 20 lt buckets and only takes 5 minutes actually takes longer to drive down but then I get 120lt
