Does the exporters catch quota limit for the year have much to do with it? The kole tangs are awesome fish, is the other one still there?

:lol: like I said they are over rated volume wise (up to 1200lt tank volume) and as I said I wouldnt put one on anything over 500lt. MCE-600 are good skimmers and worth spending the extra bit on. BUT really seawater+bubbles=foam + collection cup=skimmer :lol:

Last time I went to HFF MT Roskill they had a AR-380 stocked with a pair of occ clowns and a few soft corals etc so it must be o.k ?? coz a ar-380 barely holds 40 lts But the tank looked nice and well presented, didnt even have a skimmer or hob filter. Will have to go back soon and see how the clowns are doing

Couldnt the same/similar glitter lines be produced by aiming a stream upwards at angle to the surface of a tank. Or as a I find at the surface of a corner in the tank ( makes great surface waves and water turnover/airation ) spelling??

You'll only stress it more if you take it out of it current enviroment. Unfortunately new changes to rules mean you might not get much feedback from the pros. Probably on less restrictive forums at the mo'

I've got two anemones in 200lts and never had probs. I've got moonlighting but its only on two nights a week. All my fish except clowns sleep inside live rock anyway Bangaii just doesnt seem to sleep at all feeds on pods all night

Maybe you should invest in a good book or two and clock in some hours on the net reading up on reef systems etc smaller tanks can be alot harder to keep than larger systems. Helifaxnz he must put alot of work into his tank
