O.K I'd like to take the salinity statement back :oops: I'm off to see jetskisteve tomorrow and he's going to check my salinity as I only have a sh#@%y floating meter which I thought was good!! soo I guess your on the money chimera

he was exposed to air when the guy got him out at hollywoods otherwise as much as I didn't want to I introduced him with there water, so no exposure at my end. My salinity was at 1.025 (too salty??) sorry bro but I'm really booked out, but at least wifey is happy :-? ?? :lol: My plan is to wait and make sure tank is spot on for next attempt. feel bad for merv but anyway thanks guys

didn't add him too soon but he had only arrived at the shop that morning. maybe to much for him! anyway he died My first marine to die 60 bucks burried in the garden now

Added my first cleaner shrimp today and he is looking bad!! still alive but its like he's paralized can hardly move. What can I do to help it? I think hes in shock because the water parameters are good we already named him!! poor Merv the shrimp

At the mo' they are undergrounding our power, and they reckon in about 3 weeks we'll have no power for a day ( 8-9 hours I guess ) so got to borrow inlaws gene in advance. Chimera & Mike you should check and make sure it doesnt affect you guys!

Nat geo is starting living eden 9.30 wed. starts with the reefs around palau. The add had a crab with a brown xenia living on top of its shell!! looks good.

I think they should sell there anemones on rocks, every time I see one there they are either on the sand or attached to the glass. It must disturb the anemone to remove it, bag it and relocate it... again!! I brought mine on a rock and he hasnt moved an inch since I added him to my reef maybe 3 months ago

Is that the anemone that was in with the baby clowns and blue tangs? it didnt look very happy when I saw it. My purple LTA wasn't too good when I got him so I gave it a good feed and it looked awesome the next day. Saw the PBT to and it was so skinny poor thing!! Going back soon to get one of those yellow tangs, they have heaps!

ahaha not me, had a bad voddy experience so the tank has it all to itself :lol: All livestock is good, including mushies. I feel nervous putting booze in my tank. Its got only a faint smell of vodka I'm using smirnoff triple dist. Chimera your local. Do you have any spare snails maybe they can help

Hey Duke how many coats of stain? keep adding more coats of stain and it will get darker, need at least 3 coats to properly waterproof. your tanks looking good

I hope not, the tanks only 6 mths old and I do 20% weekly changes, tests are all good, skimmers doing well and just added phos remover. Two of my big rocks are still cooking. light is not a prob, mine also grow in the shady spots like under the spraybar and under rocks and power heads. They are small and its not a huge population. I'll monitor numbers and if it continues to grow then I'll freak

Hey, I have little white sponges growing in my tank and they are starting to multiply really quick!! are they good or bad ? will they pollute the water if I deal to them? do they filter crap from the water ? bottom line is I dont like them but if they are good then I'll let them be Thanks

You could use gutter guard. cheap as. I use it at night over the top of my hood to prevent suicides in the night.
