why dont you want to have real plants? the loach tank would be cool, but wouldnt they all stay on the bottom, leaving the rest of the tank bare?just asking the question as ive never kept loaches before, but when ive seen them theyre always on the bottom?

how acidic are you talking? and what kind of fish do you have? i wouldnt bother adjusting it, it will probably do more harm than good. have you tested the tap water? it is not essential to have a ph of 7

wont do any harm, and it will clear, just takes time, some people even like the look of tea coloured water.

no not difficult at all, maybe a couple of extra water changes, but generally they are easy. as for your other fish, none will be eaten. most of discus aggression is toward other discus. also your ph is fine as long as its stable

yes but theyre not cheap. look awesome tho i have an aqua one 4 ft (cant remember number) i think its 275 litre. filter is good but noisey discus, catfish, dwarf cichlids

dude, where do you get all your big banjos? only ones i see here are small as, and seem to be pretty slow growing. that red ones cool, never seen one like that

yeah go the banjo! i have one large adult and one smaller one, the big one comes out at feed time and also at lights out, however the smaller one i dont see at all, lucky to see it twice a year must come out in the middle of the night and scavenge around for a bit of leftovers? what do yours eat jake? my one just sits there until a bloodworm floats past to inhale.

its a good sign if its eating well. ive had discus that have taken weeks to have a decent feed. now youve got one, theres no stopping mate :lol: discus are addictive

maybe you are treating for the wrong thing mate? i have used metro a few times before, at quite high dosage, and its never done any harm to fish, or anything else. for medicated food just use flake, mix with water into a paste and add powdered metro. then flatten out between gladwrap and dry out again. not sure on the dosage, but it has been posted on here not so long ago. this is the method i have used and its worked for me. good luck just a thought, have u tested your water?

im not 100% on this but i think if you use your finger on the silicone it can go mouldy? use a glove? good luck man.
