They look greener in real life, and I managed to breed them, or should I say they managed to breed in my 2ft com tank by themselves... Here is a young-un.

They need a mature stable tank as well.

http://www.tdsfb.org/argulus.htm I do not think these would be able to hop around on the surface as you describe, I have the little yellow jumpy things in my tanks and they do not appear to harm the fish. I asked what fish you had as I was suspecting something like lateral line erosion, which usually affects cichlids.

Aww, come on Sam, it can't be too bad, she lets you have tanks in your room and drives you to the fish shops sometimes...

Shhhh Jen, you will blow my cover! Actually, she picked the fish she wanted out of my tanks initially, then she picked up some more guppies at a LFS and won some swordtails at a club auction (guess who paid for them... :-? )

Eight year old daughter says they are 'hers' but you know who ends up looking after them... :roll: Agree about the riparian zone thing as well - was looking at making a setup for my Hillstreams in a three footer.

I will see what I can do about the lamps after I have sorted Stu out with some - seem to have an abundance of boys at the moment, but have a few juvies growing out. Mine are well trained in the 'do not jump or else', stakes And since I am now NZKA Species controller - you have to make an effort to breed them or I will not give you any! They should manage this in your jungle, providing you have no surface dwelling fry eaters.

Most hardware stores should have it, such as Mitre10 or Bunnings, just make sure you read the label properly, it should say safe for aquariums, if it doesn't, don't risk it no mater what the salesperson says. Do not get one with mould inhibitors in it either. The one I have at the moment is Fosroc Silaflex RTV, but there are other brands.
