  1. I spent my 'Slow day at work' cruising to Akaroa Harbour with family, stopping along the way to buy stone fruit, cheeses and sip wines. It was such a hard thing to do that we'll be doing it again soon to build up our stamina
  2. I got a 32" LCD yesterday. To be honest I don't know a thing about them and I got the one that had the most discount on it. Yay for Boxing Day sales :bounce: It has two HDMI inputs which is handy, as chilli points out. I've replaced my old 29" CRT so any LCD is going to be an improvement
  3. Ditto. A nice quiet night in sounds so much better that a drunken, late night with a hangover to deal with in the morning.....been there, done that. Oh man, I sound like my father   HELP ME
  4. I think if it were a problem the Koura would remove it. When I had mine he'd clean himself fastidiously and they can reach every part of themselves. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that they don't mind it because it helps with camoflage in the wild.
  5. Fair enough 8) I never switch it off
  6. Hi Caryl. It's the Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM. It was a toss up between the 60mm and the 100mm. This review site helped me choose. http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Revi ... eview.aspx I also have the Canon 18-55mm and Canon 55-250mm that came with the camera in the twin lens kit. Both are image stabilised. I'm hoping I've got most bases covered with those three lenses. I don't know anything about the Chinese ones but personally I'd prefer to stay with the Canon lenses. They're built well and should last the distance. I'm no expert so I might be missing something but since Grant already has the 75-300mm does he really need the 55-250? All he gains is the 20mm wider angle at one end and loses 50mm of zoom.
  7. Cheers TTT. I know what you mean. Close up they are quite incredible. The colour is amazing.

  23. What is everyone doing on Christmas Day or is it just another stat holiday for you? Eating with family and extended family. Who will you be with? Brother in-laws family for lunch and the sister in-laws for dinner. Where? Staying in Christchurch. Does your family have any special Christmas traditions? It's all about the children......we spoil them until they can't stay awake any longer. What did you ask Santa for? A macro lens. And I have a feeling he'll deliver
