Hi Cam. I haven't put them together yet. I have a tank full of Peacock fry which will be going in the next week or so and that will free up a tank. In the meantime I'm getting various foods ready for them, live and otherwise.

That all sounds fine IMO.

Put a bit of wood in with them and a slice of zucchini or something. They won't let themselves starve. I get around 70 fry a spawn but I think it'll vary from female to female.

Hi. I don't know if it's normal but it sure doesn't sound it. If air is coming out as you say then I'd guess that eventually it'll come right, only time will tell. Can you put him in another tank with a low water level so he has less distance to travel from top to bottom? Just to make things a little easier on him.

To all the men and women who fought in both wars Both of my Grandfathers fought in WW2, one in Egypt and the other in the Pacific. At 11am on the 11th there will be a 2 minute silence in my workplace to show our never ending respect for their bravery and for the bravery of thousands of others.
