yeah jansens has the acuminatus by the look of it. it was actually razing the slower fish and got demoted to another tank when i was there. diphreutes looks quite different i believe, different head, markings and short dorsal.

what i meant to say was ...the extra stress caused their w/s to re-erupt.

as my tank is new i will be adding alot of stock over the coming months so am at risk of w/s even if i q-tank them all. also ive now come to believe what many have stated ''w/s can remain latent and reoccur due to stress'' ..why?...the forcipiger had no visible w/s when i got him, as soon as he went in to my display it appeared (due to the other inmates razing him). the inmates who had been ''cured'' of w/s by being in 1.010 for 1 month showed visible w/s within 24 hrs of me putting a mirror up to alleviate his being bullied. he didnt give them w/s, they were together for over 2 weeks. the extra mirror stress caused their latent w/s to reoccur.

i used 1/2 a live mussel in a bait catcher, had to trim the entry hole so he could fit. caught in @ 2hrs.

triangles are PITA. mines a rectangle 200x120 inside to accommodate a 40mm durso and you can get your hand in there. next time i will have the return plumbed inside it. i went dark tint glass to disguise plumbing until it gets over grown. if my tank wasnt backed into a corner i'd have gone central as well, tho youd want some idea of aquascape 1st maybe...i'd guess you would go euro bracing as well??

yeah currently at 1.010. latest reading i have done states 1.011 or lower for 6 days.......we'll see. seems to make sense re the life cycle of the tomites. nasty esp how the velvet ones liquify the fish tissue to feed on

if you lost 1 to ''eating something he shouldnt have'', what was it he ate and how long had you keep him? also how similar is your setup now compared to when he was alive? (nos aiptasia etc) also has the latest got visibly thinner in these past 2 weeks? it doesnt sound like hes terminal but anyone got any aiptasia probs around you that you could hook up with? good luck.
