apologies alan, it is a 45x30x30 tank. (cm) It looks like they have mostly fungused, tried to pick off the ones that were dead but had trouble telling them apart from the angle i was at so not sure if i got them all, Could it be that i ended up with two females or something?? I will wait a few more days to see if any hatch then next time i will shift them to the other tank, use the airstone and add some methyl blue?? (fungiside??)

do you think i should move parents as well? Just the other tank is only 40L, would be ok for fry but not sure if the angels will like it at all, i may just leave them to it this time and then see how it goes, they may be good parents and won't have to worry but may as well give them a chance, they'll probably spawn againwithin a few weeks anyway. However all this info is really good, i now have some really good plans Not really enough time to get the glass made but i think that could be a goer. Thanks heaps Alan

do you reckon it would be easier to transfer the eggs to a seperate tank? i have a tank with half a dozen guppy fry (3 days old)

sure thing, now that batteries are charged here are some pics too. The are in a angel only 200L tank (1200x375x375), there are 7 angels, this pair and 5 others unpaired, The have taken to the righthand end of the tank. Pic of whole tank: They are laid down the right hand end on a piece fo PVC pipe (thanks bill): hard to get a really good picture cos they have laid them of the back side of the pipe and on the glass in the corner, best view is fromthe top but won't come out on camera. Here is a shot of the parents on border control, they don't like the others to come down their end: Hope this is good. I was going to put the airstone under the pipe however there are only a few whit eggs and the parent (not sure male or female) is doing a good fanning job and didn't want to push her away by using the airstone.

yeah have had a look through there. got som good info, also did a bit of research on the net. (other than here... shocking!!) I have noticed a few have gone white but most still look ok. 48 hours is what i read for hatching time, does this sound right? What;s been laying at your place snowman??

My platnium angels ahve spawn in the last couple of hours. Will get pics up once battery has recharged. Could anybody give me a few points, this is my first angel spawn. cheers

I thought you said I sit on a 20L bucket on it misnoma lol. The glass should be fairly strong you have to remeber it's strong enought for like 1000kg of water another 15 kg directly down won't do dildly squat.

welcome to the site, hope you find all the info you need. you may want to read up all you can on cycling before you put fish in, just to make sure you don't lose any fish. I'm too far away aswell sorry, there a few people around from the bay of plenty so you may find someone close to help you out.

just get a couple of algae eaters, give the tank a scrumb then put them in and they should keep it under control.

do you have single bristle nose or two?? could be looking after eggs. or could be stuck but they're bristles can dig in making it impossible for you to get them out. This is what i've learnt here so info is a bit second hand. I think i've got all that right maybe others can help as well

It depends how much you want to spend, but on an unlimited budget i would getting blue and gold rams, and some hatchets plus a few bottom dewellers like headstanders. My dreams seem everlasting lol

I brought some java moss from pupuke, he gave me some out of a tank, as he didn't have any for 'sale', Real nice guy. He charged me 4.75 for a large hand ful and in it there was a few smallish javafern plants.

will my golden algae eaters be ok if i put them in with my malawi and convicts?? I have a major algae problem so i thought they could help out, plus the comm tank they're in is looking pretty spottless.

what about doing something like rapping the spray bar in a moss of some sort?? or if it is strong enough run it along the middle of the tank on the floor directed upwards, then the plants would nicely cover it. Yeah i agree maybe put the heater against the side on the wall. The Aquascaping looks great though.

Clarkeymaster: imy lants grow at what i think is a pretty average speed somegrow really well some die off quickly it's a bit weird. But all that planting has been added in the last 6 months. Tiden: i Have; kenyi, auratus, blue peacocks and a few convicts (not african)

(55L) Malawi/ cichlid; 5 blue peacocks, 3 kenyi, 5 convicts and 3 auratus. (140L) New addition is a angel tank; 2 marble veiltail, 3 atlum (maybe?) (200L) Fav LFS is Pupuke, great guy and good prices
