hovmoller
Ok I'll participate. I suppose it could fall in the rare category. I still have two Bandit Cories - C. Metae. These are no longer allowed to be imported (not sure why) so are hard to come by. I am still VERY keen to breed these, so if anyone has any the would like to sell me please send me a message. livingart and David R
livingart
Yes will be rare now wonder if they came in under Corydoras melini before
livingart
I keep rare marine fish but only rare because not many keep them lol
hovmoller
I suppose these qualify as being rare in NZ: Geophagus sp. "Red Head". Hopefully we can spread them around and make them not so rare. Fruju
I had to google that species of corydoras, it looks a lot like a panda cory? Nice stark black/white pattern. Those redheads are gems, I'd definitely say they are in the rare category here!
Hecticity
I also have a couple of rarer cories... Silverdollarboy2

Fruju
Here is one of my 'rare' fishes. It's a male Palmas buttekoferi approx. 30cm. He has quite a lot of yellow on him compared to the other bichirs we get here. Nice Cories guys. nomad fish, Silverdollarboy2, livingart and 2 others

flatfish
Heres one of my favourite plecos: a Coffeee and Cream Cactus pleco, Pseudacanthicus spinosus, L160. Very rare in New Zealand Edited June 30, 2017 by flatfish TbarTerror, Silverdollarboy2, Colour_genes and 1 other

flatfish
Yeah it's a different species of cactus pleco to L114 and much rarer Fruju

Very rare in New Zealand Wow, that is a super cool looking fish! What size is he? The only thing I have that is even slightly rare is one little Hara jerdoni. It hangs out in my sub-tropical tank, very rarely seen hiding in the plants, would love to find a few more and might be tempted then to give them their own tank. flatfish
Thanks. About 16 cm's. It will grow little bit bigger yet. Hara jerdoni are very cool little catfish.

I was thinking about getting a group of banjo catfish, each time I'm about to get them I think about how I will pretty much never see them haha
Colour_genes
I don't have any pics atm, but hoping to move the tank into the lounge soon, so I'll see if I can get one when I empty everything out. I bought 2 of them under the name of 'Mini Moth' catfish (also called anchor catfish because of their shape), really picky to feed until they adapt, one didn't last more than a month or two, had this one over a year, very small and super camoflaged (looks like a dead leaf at a casual glance). But it's nice to know it's in there, and see it once a week or so. Fruju
Fruju
Is anyone keeping datnoids? There used to be a few of us on here that had them, but now it doesn't seem that way.
David R
Someone is obviously still keen on them, one sold for over $700 on TradeMe recently!!
Silverdollarboy2
I saw that one on trademe. Was it special or are Datnoids really expensive?
