More important news:

I found Cadbury Moro Gold Max Choc in the supermarket, it's the same as Moro Gold Max Caramel but has chocolate saucey stuff and chocolate biscuit bits instead. It's quite delicious and I recommend it.

microwave them then pour it on chocolate icecream

Do you think in light of this new evidence you should conduct the test from scratch to be sure?

That is a very good idea, however I am still getting through the Killinchy Gold Hokey Pokey ice cream and who knows where my tastebuds will take me after that? !drool:

I decided to do some important research into the claims of Cadbury. I’d had all 3 bars on separate occasions but found no difference between Moro Gold and Moro Gold Extreme. I realised that only the truth could be known by purchasing and eating them all together.

During this important research I discovered the following: that Gold Extreme has about 12% more caramel than Gold, and less chocolatey centre. The bar is thinner in diameter.

The nougat in Gold and Gold Extreme is not called nougat, they call it chocolate flavoured centre and it’s soft and fudgey compared to chewy in ordinary Moro, and of course has the crunchy bits.

To eat, the Gold extreme is the softest bar and Moro is quite chewy compared.

Moro has the least amount of sugar, and fat, Moro Gold has the most fat and overall calories, Moro Gold has the most sugar.

I have not decided which one I like best. I will have to eat more to find out.

 Too sickly those things. I have some in my cupboard that are still there 3 months later - ick!

  • 7 months later...

New product out in this range.... have resurrected my research thread in the name of science.

Limited Edition Moro Gold Toffee Crunch. Same wrapper as the Moro Gold Caramel version.

There are crunchy toffee bits inside the fondant in the middle, and the caramel is more toffeey than the usual caramel. All in all it makes for a toffee fudgey chewy bar, not much chocolatey flavour. I liked it but I missed the chocolatey flavour. It's worth a try, all you chocoaholics
