fishy-fish
OK I'm sure I'm going to get some stick for this, but I had a bag of fake plants so I thought I'd chuck them in the 540L to see what it looked like. At least the fish can't wreck them! What are your thoughts on fake plants?
Hamstar99
haha. I reckon they are the bees knees with my malawis.
Caryl
I think it is preferable to use live plants in but some situations, like this, plastic are ideal.

nudge
i reckon it looks good to. I had no luck with plants, i couldnt get my java fern to grow and the val was demolished by the giraffe. So am pretty happy with my barren rockscape at the moment. I have been thinkin about trying some anubius, i hear they are pretty hardy.
Ira
Looks good, now you need to work on your rockwork. I've been tempted with mine to add a bunch of fake corals and that resin sunken HE162 figurine that I've seen a few times.

POWER77
I think theyre cool to add some colour, also tried fake plants but have gone back to the natural rocky look IMO makes fish stand out more in a tank with alot of the same colour rock
