Stella
nice! The one on the towel is interesting, shows the shape really well. What prompted that? Did you have to splay the fins? (and did you and the camera get soaked when it flicked up?
firenzenz
nice! The one on the towel is interesting, shows the shape really well. What prompted that? Did you have to splay the fins? (and did you and the camera get soaked when it flicked up? Cheers! Copadichromis Azureus male in net lon the towel. I was transporting back from a breeding tank to display tank so took the shot and as you say it does display shape and colours well. The double fish shot is other male in display mode as he tries to deal with his mate back. I just laid the fish down tail first still in net on towel and he looked great without touching him. Took less than 30 seconds.

fish_fingers
Yeah the daffoldi is awesome, so bright in colouring. How old is it?
firenzenz
Yes the colouring around eyes and gill plates get better with age. The alplha pair are about 2-2.5 yrs. There were are few to start but the other males were being nailed so they went. There is one other in with the pair which alpha male will tolerate so assuming sub-dominant female. Had a few spawns. they are cool to watch then as one spawn will babysit another. I feed a combination of foods, mostly vege and shrimp based A couple of shots; young Aulonocara Jacobfriebergi male- Copadichromis Azureus male
