Adrienne
Okay so if a plec is called a goldy then it could be any of those listed?
kiwiplymouth
Okay so if a plec is called a goldy then it could be any of those listed?[/quote No. A goldie pleco is L014 also called sunshine pleco. Pic number 5 of mine
phoenix44
no a goldy is totally different. L014 - is a goldy pleco or sunshine pleco as some call it I think. Nice fish. needs more meat in its diet.
Adrienne
thanks for answering all my questions - I finally pulled my head away from bettas to look at other fish. theres a 'goldy' at hff but it looks nothing like P44's. Its more like a cross between a gba in colouring and one of kiwiplymouths goldys. This is my problem - everytime I see a plec or panaque I like the look of I never know if its what it is labelled as. phoenix44
you mean KP's. I had one a few years ago - have not posted pics of it on this thread. what plec do you mean?
firenzenz
Goldie-Scobiancistrus Aureatus I have also seen L253 'scobi' labelled "goldie" plec. So many people start to describe their nuggets as their goldy that it is bound to confuse as they look similar to many.

Mel
My snowball "snowflake" hasn't really grown much at all he/she is only about 10cm proberly won't grow any more. They are also extremely shy plecs, i hardly ever see it.

phoenix44
yeah, they should be fine together. BGK will eat the eggs if they breed though.

Adrienne
yeah, they should be fine together. BGK will eat the eggs if they breed though. Whats this P44 and is it yours? Did you get your new plecs off Mr Plec? Are they going in a species only tank? I was thinking of putting my 3 Chocolate Zebras in a tank by themselves.
