  2. hey does anyone know were to get some water proof fans to go into my stand to vent my condensation from the sump. approx 5-6 cm width. Can you also tell me the cost. Cheers Reuben
  3. I got glass shrimp from Raglan to feed my copper band fish. 4 of them were to big for it to eat about 6 months ago. Now they live happily in my tropical marine tank which gets as high as 28 degrees. Thats 14 degrees above their normal environment.
  4. Actually i'm not a builder but i'm picking up me handy man hammer and stuff to fix my stand before its over. Its a custiom wood stand, and is getting realy really water damaged in the sump. How would you guys go about sealing it. Would you use a silcon paint, enamal paint, or line it with water proof sheeting??? Any ideas, also any for installing a venting fan??? Cheers Ru

    CLOWNFISH

The small one with the clown was from when I purchased the anemone 18 months ago. Since then its split twice and conituned to grow.

  7. Back and alls good. Trip of a lifetime it rocked. Thanks KP for looking after my tank weekly maintance. and my dad and inlaws for feeding the tank My dad taught the copperband to eat from his hand, and my anemone seems to have split. Cheers Ru

    Sick Anemone

I can't wait until there is a spare one around for me
  10. Positives 1. Relatively easy installation 2. Mostly the unit can be hiden from sight 3. Operates as it should 4. Looks cool Negatives 1. Pump noise is really loud considering slow flow rates 2. It the top-up pipe is under water it can create a siphon if the pump is unplugged 3. The international plug/ transformer has an international plug on it Over all good product. When compared with other products Kettle 1/10  Tunze auto-top up 8.5/10
  11. Positives 1. High flow - amazing flow for such a small peace of equipment 2. Small size - Tiny 1/3 the size of a seio of equilent flow rating 3. Low power useage - very low 4. Magnet holder - hides the mount, and means it will never fall of the side of the tank, unlike almost all other brands 5. Easy to modify water direction flow (easy twishing bracket) 6. Looks cool - comes in black 7. Quiet 8. Cost not to expensive Negatives 1. When sliding the nano along a painted back panel watch for paint chipping, (even with rubber pads installed) 2. The mounting backet cannot be tigthened, (so if the wires are to tight, it can pull the powerhead about, changing current direction) 3. Flow area out of the pump is less than the seio M1100 but, better intake flow makes up of this. Overall good product Comparasion to other models I have used Via Aqua 3/10 rating Seio (M1100) 6.5/10 rating Nano (Tunze) 8.5/10 rating
  12. local sea water introduced crads that eat the pest starfish in my tank. Those raglan locals are tuff. Seen a crab waving one around... (locals rule,, oh and the waves too    ) , no need to start surfing it no fun.... you hear... haha

    NEW WAVE MAKER

very interesting. keep me posted on prices.
  21. very interesting. My day looks at my tank in amazement. and tells me of when he was a student importing fresh water marine stock. Buying a breeding pair of angel fish (fresh water) for about a pound (expensive at the time) and making his student money. 50 tanks at one stage even breeding neon tetras in the 70's ""g"" maybe the 60"s. If they lost a fish they imported they replaced it with another and Maf on there checks (if they really called it that) had no idea what was what.. .cheers ru
