the temp was 25 C with a Ph of 7.2 , nothing special about water conditions and i used a sponge filter which was mature and also which the fry will feed off.

I set up a bare tank with a large breeding box ( see AW for description of breeding box ) Filled the breeding box with lots of jave moss and odd plants leaving some free swimming space. They had previouslt been very well fed. The layed the 2nd night with what can only be described as eye watering large eggs, few days later, fry

And we sure can't have Faran getting away with this ( jumping on Fishyt's band wagan Maybe he's thinking " can i really drink all this before the bus leaves ? "

Hi Yes i know they have a new name but i think the old one suites them better but either way , for the 7 or 8 people who have pm'ed me about these guys , i'm very pleased to say i've spawned them again, got free swimmers and quite a few eggs looking like they still have to hatch and still more sticking to the glass ,

I sounds like there is not enough oxegen in the water , can you try adding an airstone to the tank and turning it up high, Is the surface of the water disturbed with your current filter ?, this also would help. good luck

I can only add my heart felt thanks to everyone involved in makeing this such a fun and fantastic weekend , I don't think we stopped laughing from start to finish not even during the AGM thanks to jimR and Alan amonst others Thanks to Warren and his hard working team , some really novel ideas (passports being a real winner ) that really made the whole conferance one that will be remembered for a long long time as a huge success BTW the mean security guard also makes a pretty mean fireman when your soaking in a hot spa :roll:
