I have ozone a swimming pool, it chewed through all the hansen fittings we had, be careful with the fittings you use. I have been reading a bit about bomber and his bb tank lately, while it may work very well I still think it doesnt look good, my new tank has a thin layer of sand which will be regularly vacuumed

I have drilled my return and then split it to two seaswirls, have two overflows, one to the skimmer and the other to the refugium

he doses nothing, uses salt mix, has a deltec skimmer but doesnt use it, doesnt use any phosphate removers. He has trouble with algae growing also but his tank really does look good

my brothers tank is using mm, in my opinion its an amazing tank. He only has soft corals in the tank however but he does nothing but water changes monthly and has a reasonable load of fish in there. I am setting up my new tank at the moment and will be using mm as well after seeing the results on his tank

my brother got a meter from genisis power that plugs onto the main wire into the house. Its a digital readout that gives him the kilowatts being used currently in the house. He can tell exactly how much power he is using at any given time.

telecoms jetstream is dodgy as they have oversold and therefore fried the network. I have complained that much about it I get free internet until they fix the problem which is scheduled sometime around 2007

my brother had a bubble tip and his moved all over the place. My first one moved a bit but was a long tentacle, took him back as he got too large. The other one I got has never moved since i put him in the tank. I have moved him a couple of times and he always stays put

I would have thought the water was the problem. I teseted the chlorine in auckland water 3 months ago at 0.6ppm, I run a swimming pool at between 0.8 and 1.5ppm not much difference in my opinion. You should get something to purify the water before it goes in your tank, either a reverse osmosis unit or a deionizer

I have always vacuumed my substrate when I do a water change. I have been reading a lot lately about guys who just turn a valve and take out the required amount of water then fill the tank back up. How do you guys do it, do you vacuum or just dump the water. If you just dump the water do you ever vaccuum the substrate or just stir it up from time to time.

does the rubber perish over time or is it still good?

you can get t8 endcaps at hollywoods or jansens, I just got 4 last month so I know they have them. Dont think they are the waterproof though although the package says they are water resistant. $28 each

is it a hamilton jet unit??? looks like one anyway, will you have a v8 under the tank to power it lol
