Pretty hard to under feed fish

Fish that are not breeding once or twice a week, fish that are two to three times a day, and fry one to three times a day sometimes more. Just remember to feed what they will eat in a couple of minutes

Don't get how you can get a bubble wall to work using your eheim filter? Do you have a venturi on the outlet?

You can buy both red lightbulbs and red fluro tubes. You could try a few small red leds to.

Had a similar problem with marine clownfish, white poo, eating as you discribed. Treated with praziquantil. Not sure if it was liver flukes , internal parasites, internal worms etc but worked on one batch of about 100 fish. You can get the liquid stuff but i prefer the tablet made into a gelatin based food mix. The other thing to try is levamasol, this can be purchased from a large animal vet (sheep drench from memory.)

never done it with salt, what fish does that trigger?

A cooler water change triggers a large number of fish.

No, just had a look at him the other day, not really up with the play on these guys. Looked ok to me Bob has brought a few in over the years, maybe he kept a few back for himself.

I see, have always kept these guys at lower temps and rams, discus etc a bit higher..

I would say no, they get to big and can get a bit nasty. Discus, rams, cardinals are peacefull and prefer higher temps etc. Was that deal just in Wellington?

Still nice though, only problem that stuck out is the fins. What would one like that be worth?

My understanding is that there have been reports of SAE breeding in captivity but have to be around 3 4inch. Id go with BN to.

If it was me i would take the fish out and treat in another tank. Are there other fish in the tank with signs of this problem?
