good point.
but nutrient poor tanks is not the problem its that we try and put all sorts of different corals together that can be from different locations, depths etc. that require different conditions
well if he is picking then you would assume he is eating something? just not enough.
I would just keep offering him food and see how it goes.
How long have you had him? 2 weeks?
This helps a..
Do you have any access to live adult brine shrimp or mysis shrimp, you could try those.
They are a hard one to keep, where did it come from, was it eating there, did you see it eat?
Do you see it picking at your rocks?
how about the temp swing, if it is really cold you don't want your tank on ice.
I would say o2 (water movement) and temp first then the rest. lights could be off for a couple of days with little effect.
just made 4ltr of ca and bs up.
Took about 10mins.
Bs did not take much to dissolve, added warm water first (about 1ltr) then added the rest.
Try mixing as much as you can, then leave over night then mix again, you should have no problems.
If it was my tank i would move them down, the damage has aready been done, but you may be able to save them.
Can you still see polyps on them, you may have to look at night
and watch the price shoot thru the roof..
I have been trying doxytetracycline (sp) 100mg. Quite happy with the results so far.
Will let you no as things progress
