I would not go with a 5 foot. There are not many bulb options. A 4 foot would be a better choice as you can get whatever brand of bulb you want.

Nice job. Those ballasts don't put out to much heat, you should be fine.

No worries. No photos sorry, from memory he used the arcardia gear and cliped them in under the splash guard between the other bulbs. You could look at ripping the t8 bulbs out and mounting the t5s instead, easy as

yes and no, the tank is not that deep, t5s should be fine. You could always add a mh later and still use the t5s

Yip, thats true. No need for halide on that tank really, t5 upgrade would be all thats required. Also drilling those tanks are really easy i have done quite a few. I would suggest you only try to drill the back panel so if it does break it would be easy to fix. Don't waste your time with the clip on overflows as the flow rate is tiny. Go with the deltec

Yes to the xenia, they can as you put it "self frag" Did the torch have any jelly like stuff on it? I wouldn't add another naso as they are a big fish. You could look at adding another yellow but be aware the chances are high they will fight. One option would be to take the yellow out (put in sump or other tank) then add them both at the same time

Whats your Mg, make sure it is up around 1300 - 1400 otherwise you may have a hard time keeping your kh and ca up.
