I sold my flame angel about 9 months ago. I had had it for almost 2 years and never had a problem. It died in its new tank a week later.

Not much difference, after a while you won't be able to tell. Atinics have more of a purple tinge compared to the blue that is blue. Atinic will make some corals "glow" more, very little difference in my book.

Maybe they were over feeding, there is a difference between "over feeding" and "heavy feeding". I used to find over feeding was quite common in freshwater tanks, that is putting in to much food and having it rotting on the ground or in the gravel. My 5c anyway :lol:

As you said there has to be a limit to that. From memory it was more like "don't reduce your feeding to help reduce nitrates". I do feed a heap, so it would come down to how well the tank is setup, skimmer, carbon, water changes etc. Also he is a very very messy fish, i thought my 8" rabbit fish was bad I also have been a bit slack with water changes

About 6 months from memory. I also have a heap of fish so that won't help.

Sweet Can you tell the difference between male and female? Size diff?

You can add acid to a small amount of the sand. If it fizzs then it is better to be used on a tank that needs a Ph of 8.0+ (coral sand )if it doesn't then it will be fine for a tank whos ph you want to keep more acidic. You won't get any salt coming off the sand if you rinse it first.

pretty much, about 70% of the problem is the trigger i think. Never never had a problem till i got him. Coming down heaps now with big water changes
