  1. From what i have read, it appears to be more superstition than actual proof. Shae

  8. I believe that saying a female neon is Gravid, is inccorect. As she is not carrying developing eggs or young. Shae
  9. Its not completed, my weilder hasnt done the stands, and went away for a 8 week holiday around the world. So im a bit annoyed, all the tanks in there are either on the ground or on a make shift stand, and i dont really want to post pics of that. Shae
  10. Not cost affective, my fishroom is not for big tanks, its mainly for small breeding tanks. I have 2 larger tanks inside, for community fish, and other than growing plants etc, there not well stocked. Besides doing something like wat you've mentioned would present a tonne of problems. Shae
  11. It looks like hes missing abit of his tail, and you wont be able to tell if he is a true bottom sword for a while if thatis the case, because the tail will take a long time to grow back, and the bottom sword has not really distingiushed itself from the tail yet, so i would just wait and see for now, he still looks very young. Shae
  12. Ive got over 800 guppys, and salt them all, so it doesnt really matter too much. Shae

  16. Just a little Question, If your not going to have any Fish in there why turn the lights off?? And also, if the garage is freezing cold, your going to find it hard to get ur DIY Co2 to pump much Co2 out, As the yeast lives and breeds best at bettween 20-26c. Also if you've bought a good heater the heat shouldnt fluctuate much, especialy if there is a filter in there provideing circulation from the heater, Also i would reccommend adding a complete lid (if you have not already stated you would) as you will get a terrible amount of evaporation due to the water being alot warmer than the outside tempreture, and as you said you will not be out there everyday checking. Personally i think a BN or two is a great idea, No worries about feeding, keeps the tank clean, and will keep algae from ravaging your plants, although you will have to gravel clean once every couple of months, you would have to do that anyway, because of the snail excresion. And it provides extra fertilisation and keeps the water conditions good by replenesion bacteria every water change etc etc Shae
  17. Ahhh, im a bit confused here, what exactly are you yelling about? and seriously dude, think about your atittude, everyone here is giving you good advice, yelling or getting angry at us for no apparent reason (that i can see) is not going to make you friends. Shae

  20. Hmmm, are there tails pointed at the end? cause if they are, then this does not mean they have been chomped, it means there extremly stressed and so they've clamed there fins. Shae
  21. They do eventually Grow back. Shae
  22. 4 days ago i was wondering why my Fluval 204 had so little output, filtering my 200l, So i took the whole thing apart, while clenaing the sponge, thinking that the motor was run down, or the impeller had broke, nope it all looks fine, so i look in the compartments, to find the carbon bags rotted away, and the carbon blockking up most of the compartment, i removed, and the fluval is running great again to my relief, and my fish are fine to date. The carbon had been in there two years, lol Shae
