There is a desperate lack of full tanks shots at the moment. Everyone post your full tank shots, no close up or equitpment shots, just your full frontal reef tank pics. quite a few people here are using the laguna' for return pumps, im happy with mine

i have doubts that it can completly be eradicated, but i we'll see.

ideally i would have one but have no space for it. from experiance i have learnt about who's fish i trust and who i am cautious with. personally ive only lost one fish on introduction to the tank. i will be very selective with the fish i introduce to the new tank.

you should put it all in a pink ipod skin, nice and pretty, appeal to the female reefers (fay)

the important thing with the sump is to make sure there is room for equiptment at the appropriate water level and leaving enough room to take out equiptment like the skimmer and also room for the overflow from the main tank in the event of a power cut. sumps are an art which i am yet to master. skimmer. again get the best you can afford or wait untill you can save to get a better one. lights, all in what you want to keep

Buon Giorno. Just wondering what observations the experiances sps keepers have noticed regarding growth patterns and sps. i note two different styles of growth in tanks, some tanks seem to have round colonies, sort of like lots of big grape fruit spread around the tank. others i have noticed tend to get more linear growth like youd expect from a stag type colony, more branches and spread out more. from what i can see this could be due to two things, light and flow. the question is what type of lighting and flow will promote each growth pattern??? (i remember steveA being a fan of less flow than is common saying that the growth is thinner and more delicate)

always on the look out for it layton but as of yet none of the supermarkets stock "draino" or any other similar sodium hydroxide product

yep get rid off them once and youll never get them again. i dont think anyone here would seriously advocate natural predation as a permanently sustainable way of eliminating them. lets say you get a copperband and it eats them all but then doesnt want to eat any prepared food. what happens?? the fish dies of starvation and your hidden aipstasia's come back again. same problem with the nudibranches that eat them, they eat the ones they can find but then run out off food and die. joes juice kills them and doesnt harm the tank if used wisely, dont try to be different just for the sake of being different, if a product works and works well and is reccomended by everyone why not use it??????
