yeah the overflow is big but i wanted it to big rather than too small, they cut the teeth and bent it, saved me any hassle 110$

squid are common but ive never heard of cuttle fish in NZ

the first pic does look awfully photoshopped but some of the consequent ones look realistic. very tempting with the use of t5s

yeah it does have a similar nose. i guess its like any animal in that it looks nicer when its still a baby

fixed up the plumbing issues, now i just need to put in some baffles in the temp sump. look in the t&e section for my limited time offer on micro bubbles

not that high, you need a stable relationship to support the tank. a good skimmer and high water quality will prevent algal blooms. I have talked to a few people keeping marine tanks with only cannister filters or very small skimmers that will think their setup is adequete untill they visted my tank and realised their water was quite murky/cloudy.

taxifolia is a noxious weed if you want some caluerpa stop by one day and i'll give you some (not sure on the type). refugia( ) are great for growing pods and having macro algae ect however i wouldnt reccomend them as the primary form of filtration but as a nice bonus. the rock in the tank and a good skimmer will do the grunt work.
