come on children.
i understand why he put it up, if you notice the tanks he put up where all TOTM's from RC im sure if he wanted to spend some time searching he could easily find more but that would have been the easiest place to look.
no one was bagging him for making money out of it.
like you said no-on ein their right mind would put in that amount of effort unless there was some kind of benefit.
i dont see UV as a band-aid at all, its a filtration method.
while i would like the clarity that Ozone gives you i dont quite trust myself. but that might change if i do a bit more research
make sure you fill it alll the way to the top and then perhaps force start it by putting a hose in the intake and turn it on. worked on my reluclant 304
cost oh other than cost.
uv is only treating the water that pass's by it where ozone is adding something to the water and you cant over dose UV. the reason im considering it because i dont feel comfortable using ozone (more tests and something else to worry about)
thanks for clearing that up, was going to google it but i got side tracked trying a new search engine.
where did you get the deltec UV from? and whats the reccomended flow rate and do you run it just before the skimmer or any where?
you need rotifers and phytoplankton, i beleive reef posted a few weeks ago about having some rotifers, the guy down here isnt having too much luck at the moment, only getting a handfull to survive through the metamorphasis
a monitor better than yours ?? do you still have the problem with the sun coming in?
my problem with a full tank shot is getting it to look the size it really is my tank looks like a nano in the pic i took.
ill have another try when the new sump is in and there are no bubbles
