Made lots of water over the last two days, i have filled the display and some of the temporary sump but have made a few errors in the plumbing which i will correct tonight (height of pump and return nozzle too low)

lol. my wife doesnt mind me spending the cash or time on the tank but i have to make something that looks good in the apartment otherwise i'd have to hide it away, imo a tank in the lounge is very relaxing

light and heat. evaporation heaps reduce heat and no top means nothing to block the light

not to sure if it was yor decision (or your wifes ) to have the tank upstairs but with a larger tank wont you get tired of lugging up the water and then back down?? plus its not like there's a nice couch up there where you can relax and look at the tank. (just a thought)

yeah the colour of your acros dont seem as vibrant as they have in the past pics, are your water changes usually around the 200l mark?

the aucklanders would be better to decide that. public venue or someones house?? if someones got a nice back yard that would do, being a frag swap its not going to take all day, just a quick get together, haggle, and away we go

nice foam youve got going on. the only purpose of the baffles it to control first bubbles and second water height. 40mm would be fine on a sump that wide

yeah an eviota goby would be cool, i'd like a Yasha goby. havent seen any thing suitable around yet clown gobies are usually the only ones commonly found at the LFS

nice do you have the day off? im taking a few days off this week too, should be salting up tonight and addint it tomorrow. is the grey tray a temp test sump??

fun. what are you plans for it??? softies sps??? i would reccomend looking at getting the acylric overflow cut/molded to your design by a pro, preferably out of a material similar in colour to your background (make sure you scrape away the paint from where you silicon on the hansen fittings)

great brackish tank monaro. its a shame that not many plants enjoy the brackish conditions

yeah frag swap/sell/give its all good auckland is probably the best place to have it due to numbers. i'll bring some mystery acro frags

best place is from Phil the discus guy up in auckland (not exactly in our area) there is another place as well Discus haven i think. there are enought people going back and forth all the time so im sure someone would be able to help in pick up.
