  1. Consider LED lighting, looks expensive initially but you save it all back and more in less power and no replacing bulbs. a big school is definitely more attractive, although saw a tank with one school of rummynoses and one of glass bloodfins, it kinda looked like half the fish were swimming backwards at first glance.
  2. heat packs available from outdoors stores as pocket warmers. dwarf puffers 1 per bag or 4or more per bag, they will peck at each other otherwise better to drop it off yourself, just one more thing to not worry about
  3. can't make it unfortunately

  8. they cut mine out (not fun) and then put me on heavy strength antibiotics with a cream I had to apply 2 x a day for 4 weeks, and had to keep my hands 100% dry for at least 2 weeks (kinda hard when you work at a fish farm)

  15. yay my first mozzie larvae of the year have arrived!!! theres small wormy things swimming around in there, are they safe? (haven't noticed them before) about 3-5mm long lightish brown and actively swimming round, don't look like a blood worm, white worm, black worm etc....
  16. ok, from my research add 1-2mL per 5L of tank water, do a big gravel siphon (and water change) about 3-6 hours after dosing, repeat dose after 2 weeks to prevent re-infection
  17. IMO neons likie longer shallower tanks, dunno what literage you have but you should consider dwarf puffers (I know, I sound like a broken record) they look like a cross between a pokemon and a helicopter gunship
  18. how can it be recoreded if they are not testing for it???.. I garantee its there.
  19. as I said... Hid it behind ANOTHER tank... problem solved..... btw $175 for a RCD plug???? why not a regular plug with a RCD attached???? even in a rental all the original ones are not special plugs why should new ones be???
  20. im finding a lot of thermo's that turn off and never turn back on
  21. love the tank corner but don't you need a smaller tank and stand to tidy up the plugs in the corner
  22. interesting they took one away due to piscine TB, I have a scar on my finger due to a Piscine TB infection from a Bristlenose why are they trying to stop diseases that are already very common (most tanks will have the mycobacteria responsible)
