  6. probably the big one we are talking abt here is Gold Spot, aint we. the real gold nugget only gose up to 12/13cm, doesnt it?
  7. INdian banded Gourami= Dwarf imo Or at least relative
  8. I got some roughly around 25kg, I am in Manukau city centre area. pm if interest.
  9. what Fancy Plecos in New Zealand can go very large perheps to 20cm?? I know Blue phantom, Green Phantom, Royal, and Leopard Cactus can grow to the size.. what else??
  10. rekon they are just common dwarf Gouramis. .. I have seen quite often before.. Wonderworld Rotorua always stocks them.
  11. the fins look broader than common ones' . maybe hybrid.
  12. do you think they are just common ones?? do we have in New Zealand
  13. have you seen these before?? are these Red Jewell or different species ??
  14. still hard to tell the differences. is that just broader/fatter body?
  15. Jack is only trying to tell us what he is doing and sharing the experience of cross-breeding. for people who are not interested at it, you should not be involved and you are not forced to add comments onto the thread. For each post, I would suggest to have people who have same interests to share the topic. For people who have opposite opinions, you are more than welcome join here and leave your comments about how you think about 'hybrid'. 'BAD!' or 'You should be banned' shud not be used in this friendly forum. and it is not very nice. we should treat all members who bring different topics, or bizzare topics, OR the topics you may not like, fairly. personally I will suggest a female Cuban to creat more little Cubans :happy2: David used to have one but dont know where it went..
  16. hi dude, go for it nice and hardy fish. I still have one in my tank. he/she is approx 15cm with nice golden trim on fins. he/she is a bit aggressive toward to my large red spot pleco (25cm) but getting along well with my little gold nugget (only 10cm) hard to judge. even if say he is aggressive, just about stirring the sand up, or whipping others by tail.
  17. dont worry come again.

  19. hey, my opinion is :cofn: for the same size of tank, you can keep more Africans than S.As. :cofn: for the colouratin, African do brigther and multiple colours than S/A cichlid but less mysterious :cofn: for the aggression, A/S Ameriman Cichlids are the real preds :cofn: for the size of he fish, you will found the delight of keeping your fish rise up to large size gives you overall achievement
  20. big humphead, mysery colour, extended dorsel fin and solid body.. etc that is why I like A/S. cichlid. not abt the size! Frondosa and Tilapia buttikoferi are only Africans I like.
