no worry, they are doing well atm. they dont seem liking each other, nor they dont fight. just measured the male. he is close to 20cm now. really hope they can breed. they are my favorite forever. I am selling my 800, I am looking at getting a 1000L or more..

the dominant one becomes nicer for sure as I used to keep three (two males and one female). but since this one became quite bully, the other male (same size from Jaxxnz)got killed with in one hour sadly. I do Hiraki Gold and Aro Pellets on them and keep him in a seperate space on his own. water changes is nessessary for sure.

will looking to set up a larger and better tank probably 1000L for my large dwellers after moving. will buy a FX5 by then. my large tank 800L is currently for sale can save me from moving. :-?

sand substrate is really pain. my larger tank of 800L were applied with fine Silica Sand. Everytime when I do the bottom clean, the sand easiliy got sucked out. also there is always one layyer of sand at bottom when I open the external filter to clean. as you said, gravel and sand do trap a lot of debris and poo. Bare bottom is good and easy to maintain at all time. my filter is not good enough. I am currently looking to buy a FX5 to replace. I am doing daily 1/8 water change to keep water condition ATM. at the mean time, I am still think of applying substrate to make a nature look. I like greyish colour

there actually is a smaller Male Festae in the tank too. He is abt 20cm (she is 25/26cm) somewhere behind the wood. I try to make them to fall in love to each other :slfg: there are also a cactus Leopard, and a Gold Nugget in there too. but I wish I can have some feeder fish for her.

the flakes?? you mean the container in cupboard? it is used for some other stuff. I am feeding Hiraki Gold and aro pellets to her now. flakes definitely cannot full her up. but thank you for your advice.
