some people suggest fish world is in the other way around human world in sexual life. male fish has longer orgasm than female. after female complete at her end, male will still carry on claiming more..... that is why female gets beaten when male is refused. T or F??

congrats bro! we can expact some Jag babies. the female is doing well with Jag and Redheaded (30cm) even OK with my convict.

I bid Festae is the worst case. I have not put the little male in with the female yet. but will consider letting the the Festae pair (or future pair) in with some others like Jag and Redheaded in 600L . what do you think?

is this normal in SA/CA cichlid world ?- male beats up female to death after breed (unsuccessful case) if they are still in one tank. My male midas turned mad toward to the female after the recent unsuccessful spawn. I heard that Festae dose the same trick, what about others?? like Jag, Texas?? what about Africans?? do they do the same??

the firemouth Meeki pair in there are gorgeous.

he is in a good size but unfortunitely with deformed body and mouth shape to me. not a perfect looking. but will still be great to have one like that. nice pond too.

he is pretty much on its own in the 300L atm. I feed Hikari pellets and bloodworm regularly. only do shrimp occasionally. will feed shrimp more regular from now.

yes, he is hungry all the tiime. he swims hard out to the surface every morning when I come close to the tank. he takes 6 pellets and one tube of bloodworm for each meal twice a day.

hey Guys, my little guy is growing since I have got him. Now he is 5inch and hope he can reach 8inch to be closed to the female one in the year. he is now staying with leopard cactus plec and a little Texas in a 300L (he occasionally snacked the 5 small texas swam cross the divider. expensive feeders :facepalm: ) what do you guys think??? Can he reach 8inch in one year?

I sold my female RH not long ago but got a nicer and larger male speciman.

what is Texa's growth rate. they dont seem to be fast growers. I got a small school of them for 2 months and the growth is not noticable. have seen JagxTexas, Jag x Festae, Midas x FH, Midasx RH, FHx texas, Midasx Con, Conx JD, ... I am not a big fan but interest to see some hybrid around

fancy plecs are too fussy. soorry to hear man. that was a big$$$$$$lost. I have a cactus, a chocolate Zebra and a red spot. I dont really feed them often but once I feed, I only do courgette.

I have got a FH and a normal JD spawned before but have not had them turn out to fish unfortunitely. People from other forum suggest that even when the two laid eggs but the eggs cannot be hatched successfully because the two are in different genus as JD from Nandopis and FH is from Amphilophus familiy.
