  1. Maybe the goldfishman on TM would take them, I know he has ponds and stuff.
  2. You might want to say where she is located, in theory if she got a bigger tank, the waste would be more diluted, meaning less cleaning. That's how I got a bigger tank. Or Maybe you'd have to find a place where there isn't a lot of sun or block of the sun. HTH
  3. Man, her plastron is really concave. The shell doesnt look like it has been shedding? A quick question, what UVB bulbs do you recommend? I should look at renewing mine now, been over 9 months. Thanks
  4. Thanks have I done this wrong? I stuck in 250 for height 400 for length and 5 for width
  5. So it got at rating of 11. So what's safe?
  6. Yeah, I was talking to a mate and I will see how much Port Nichillson (sp?) Glass will charge. Is 5mm safe for a tank this size?
  7. Microworms are incredibly fast if you do it right. I put a teaspoon in a 2l ice cream container with porridge yesterday and today they are already starting to culture up the side. Don't forget to add yeast.
  8. I went to a place I won't name names, but they say the supply glass. I will shop around and look for a glassier. Does anyone know of a cheaper glazier in Kapiti wellington region? Thanks Matt
  9. Does $98 sound like a lot for that glass?
  10. Hi I plan on making a custom tank. The dimensions will be 40cmx30cmx25cm (LxWxH) in 5mm glass. I plan to have two braces at the top on each end 30cmx5cm. Would this tank be safe? And I just realized I have done this wrong. I ordered pieces 1@ 30x40 2@ 40x25 2@ 30x25 2@ 30x5 As I have been reading up on tanks the walls of the tank should be sitting on the base, so may have to change my order to 1@ 30x40 2@ 40x25 2@ 29x25(this is to compensate for the thickness if the glass?) 2@ 30x25 I understand you start with the base, then stick the front panel on, then sides, then back, then top braces. Using aquarium silicone. And using a heavy object to hold the glass vertical and masking tape to hold it all together? Any advice on tank making is appreciated Thanks in advance Matt
  11. Hi I have found a tank on TM of perfect base size! :happy1: Unfortunately it is in fielding. I was wondering if anyone is heading down this way and could pick up a small tank(40x30x30) from fielding for me. I could chip in for petrol money as well. Thanks Matt

:an!gry man some people, some people really anger me! A Red Eared Slider does not get more valuable as they get older and bigger! Especially not worth $300! Stupid people on TM *mumble...
  13. There was one on TM in Wellington, name was tripod. I'll pm you a link when I find it.
  14. Sea sand is also quite fine IME river sand tends to be a bit heavier.
  15. Angels would need at least a 150L tank IMO because the fish themselves are tall and wide, and they are cichlids and actually are aggressive, I've seen one eat a neon...
