  1. Didn't you say taupo was only a three hour drive?
  2. Was it on the forums? Could be Barrie
  3. Use your dads ute? It'll take a few trips. Just poly or something similar between all the tanks
  4. My ancistrus and panaque seem to go for the algae wafers, but not as crazy as p44's hypans haha
  5. If you have a look at p44's threads, he has a lot of "red" plants. But he only gets these due to his tanks having high lights etc etc. I have plants that are slightly red whereas in his tanks they go very red.
  6. What lighting do you have? Do you use CO2 or ferts?
  7. From what i've heard, the tiger barbs loose the aggression in large groups? You could get some rams or appisto? Dwarf cichlids to be more broad Bristlenose pleco are rather cheap. They're quite cool fish
  8. Discus would be brilliant in that tank once its fully planted etc. Maybe get some nice pleco's?
  9. Looking good What else are you planning to stock with?
  10. That is crazy David, that was pretty much what I was thinking Pleco is the common name as far as the majority of loricariidae go, right?
  11. Simple and effective You could make one out of thinner mesh for smaller fish?
  12. Welcome to the fish room A link to that vid is already in my guide The coke bottle method is wonderful. Adrienne, the person whom owns the tanks in the photo's, uses it. She produces some amazing fish. For your room could you have the room temp warm enough to keep them in bottles? I'm planning on using juice bottles as cheap tanks with daily waterchanges in my fish room
  13. Cold water too? And with lots of moss etc any potential fry will have a better chance
